Yes. I even have plans to record a playthrough and write my own guide for a couple of builds in a couple of months.

Old school would be like Wizardry.

I have returned to Dragon age: origins from Dragon age 2. The second game never matched the depth and mysticism of the first one imo.
I am on my fourth playthrough and going to create another dalish because my spirit will always be one of the elvhen (another reason why I dislike DA:2 you can't play as dalish elves and they've made them look like insects).

I've just started my first play through and it's dull. I've just played DA2 4 times back to back it was that much fun but DAO is killing me it's so slow. 30-60 seconds to get in to and out of a shop scene, makes you want to smash things.

I played DA2 4 times, started 5th because of the Legacy and when I finished it and couldn't care less about the game any more. I was never able to play it for more than an hour at one time, it's so repetitive and boring and unrealistic. With DA2 it's the opposite - I was quite OK with it the first time I played it, but now I just can't see any reason to replay it again.
So now I'm back to DAO. It's not perfect either, but the more I play it, the more I like it - the characters, the story, the atmosphere.

i actually happened to have played DA2 first, and recently bought origins. i've only done one playthrough, just finished yesterday and i'm starting another. given the fact that there are 6 origin stories it's hard to not want to play the game over and over and over... old school or not.

Heh, in the ADD world of video games 21 months qualifies as 'ancient history.'CID-78 wrote...
DA:O isn't oldschool. it's way to new for that. .
Wonder where that would put me then, I'm playing Baldur's gate. And DA:O, of course.
QFT. I actually just reinstalled and played through Planescape: Torment a month or two ago. That's Old School...not Dragon Age.
But, to answer OP's question, I still play regularly too.
