Well, since I haven't seen such a topic, I figured I make one.

I LOVED them. The one with Merrill and Varric talking about griffins and Varric mentions that "swooping is bad" really had me smiling.  Also, the one between Merrill and ANders kind of had me sad, I mean, why would Merrill want "dirty spells?" Does my Hawke not please her enough???

In short, I think Bioware hit party banter gold (at least for a DLC) for Legacy. What do you guys think??

I thought the party banter was superb. They done an excellent job with it.

It's not party banter, but Hawke's little jig when you choose the "I miss your smile." dialogue option when talking to Bethany made me laugh.

I loved the party banter I got as well. I thought the dialogue overall was very well done.

There was some quality Fenris and Anders bickering (which I love, because apparently I'm a masochist). There was also an interesting banter between Fenris and Bethany that revealed some deep stuff about Bethany's feelings on being a Grey Warden.

I agree on the "party banter gold." It was the right mix of snark and revelry, with a dash of sentiment thrown in.

Though several stood out, I'll post this gem:

Varric: "We've passed another broken pillar - you know what that means?"
Isabela: "Everybody take a drink!"

Beautful...

I never got this banter about her feelings on the wardens, what did she say?

I found it hilarious when Isabela was talking to Grey Warden Carver and was asking about how the taint causes grey wardens to shoot blanks and Carver mentioned that it would just makes him want to try even harder and Isabela was amused and said she likes how Carver has grown. My Hawke who is in a relationship with Isabela says hilariously says 'no you don't' to Isabela and then 'no she doesn't to Carver'.

I still can't get over the fact that they had new dialogue for every companion. I was expecting more zombie companions for this DLC, hope to see more DLC that has this quality.

Posted this in another topic but it just made me laugh both on original playthrough and when I re-did part of it to get one of the items I'd missed and finish one of the sidequests I'd failed to finish...
(possibly a bit paraphrased)
Varric: "Oh that's nice."
Hawke: "What's so nice?"
Varric: "I was just wondering what an awfully foreboding place could look like and... here it is."
*Above said just as climbing back up to the surface for the final confrontation*[/i]

The fight with Corypheus...

Merrill: "You must be having so much fun Aveline. There are more criminals here then I've ever seen in my life!"
Aveline: "Not fun, per say, but yes, it does feel like a candy shop full of villains."

Someone needs to compile it all for YouTube.

Hawke - "More blood, why can't it ever be spit or a lock of hair"
Varric - "You really want to encounter a Spit Mage?"
Hawke- "For variety sure"

Fenris: You must hate the darkspawn after what they did to your home.
Bethany: I have a lot of hate, but it's not so focused. It's... deeper for a Warden. It's been a struggle to let that go.
Fenris: But you have?
Bethany: Let's call it a work in progress.

Then later, she says to Hawke:
Bethany: That corruption. That's what I was saved from. You wouldn't have let it go that far, though. You'd have done anything.
Hawke: It shouldn't have been necessary.
Bethany: Maybe. But thanks.

Anders: So, templar. Is the Order everything you wished for?
Anders: Pithed any good mages lately? That's what you do now, right?
Anders: It must wear on you, given your lineage. No wonder you're quiet.
Carver: If I could take you without risking my sister, you'd never see daylight again. Clear?
Anders: Oh yes ser, please, ser.

It made me laugh knowing the big balm, and it made me laugh harder when Anders tried to prove Carver right, again.

Merrill: Oh, I stepped in something again.
Isabella: You should get new shoes...actual shoes! Like mine.
Merrill: Oh now, I keep losing things in boots. Like marbles. I sometimes drop them and they fall into the boots and it takes forever to get them back out.
Isabella. Is that why I keep finding marbles in my boots?
Merrill: Uh no! Umm look over there, a rock.

I enjoy the fact that your companions react to what's going on around them. In many of the previous DLCs, for both the DA and ME series, it's mostly just the Warden, or Shepard, who talks and reacts to the plot as it progresses, while the companions follow in silence, not talking, as if they have difficulty following the events. This, to me, is a step up. Good job.

I have a question for the devs:

Were the dialogue recorded together with the main game, or were the voice actors contracted specally to do voice work for this DLC?

Now, let me state that I do not think that just because some preliminary work for the DLC was done while making the main game means BioWare is trying to gouge us by making us pay for it. I think the more they are able to plan ahead, the better it is for us.

The banter was great. Varric mentioned that he didn't give himself a nickname because he is the one telling the story. Aveline also couldn't understand how a story could depend on character (player) choice when the author knows how it ends. Isabela rationalized not wearing pants. Bethany jokingly gave my Hawke and Merrill a hard time since they're a couple.

I'd imagine they were contracted to do the various DLCs when they signed up to do the main game.  At least that would be the prudent move on Bioware's part.

I brought Bethany and Sebastian, and Bethany started flirting with Seb, until Hawke yelled at her jealously. XD

I know I got it wrong, though the meaning is clear.

Isabela: So Varric, everybody has nicknames.
Varric: That's right. Rivaini.
Isabela: ... but everybody calls you Varric, that's not fair.
Varric: That's because it's my story.
Isabela: What?
Varric: Nothing.

The party banter (and the dialogue in general) in this DLC was excellent. Was it just me, or was there a lot more spontaneous Hawke dialogue (at least with sarcastic!Hawke, who's the only one I've played through so far)? I loved the "spit mage" exchange-- it felt like it was poking fun at the utterly absurd amount of blood mages that you have to deal with in Act 3.

Since I played a post-campaign save, everyone in my party was maxed out except for Carver-- so it's a pleasant surprise to see that you CAN get friendship/rivalry points for some of the conversation decisions you take. I think I'll enjoy playing this game at an earlier campaign point just to see if there are friendship/rivalry gains for any of the other party members.

There is a similar one between Varric and Aveline where she is asking about how one of the stories he is writing about a Templar Knight Commander ends and he says how the Characters tell the story he has no input in how it ends and so he can't say.

Definitly hope for more of the same (as in more party banter) in future DLCs.

Edit: @Miskatonica yeah definitly was more 'Hawke' involvement I think in the banter through the DLC

There is actually a case of Sebastian hitting on Bethany which causes Hawke to snicker. Can't remember the exact lines tho.

According to the story discussion thread, you can actually trigger a romance scene with Sebastian and Hawke where she's jealous of Bethany? THIS I have to see!
