Urgh, no matter what I do or how many different playthroughs i run through, I can't trigger any of Hawke and Merrills dialogue between the two. Same goes for any Hawks & Fenris dialogue, Hawke & Sebastian, Hawke & Isabela or Hawke & Varric. I can trigger the bigger group discussions, and Hawke will chime in with this and that (Dirty Spells Merrill? Yes please!) but the bugger refuses to have his one on one discussions with anyone.
*frowny face* I did ever so want to hear how Merrill killed one of Hawkes wardrobes and how those handprints got on the chandelier.

Hmm, it seems that the areas that trigger the dialogue only works twice. After that, you'll have to find a new area to trigger more conversation.

I found that switching party members will also trigger new conversations, even if you're still in the same area.

Oh, I wasn't speaking clearly
. What I meant to say is that all party members will speak their dialogue twice per trigger point (at least from my limited observations).

Ahh, I am quite gutted they have not bothered to patch the love intrests/romance banter for this quest, it does get kind of irritating to hear you partner acting like you are not together throughout the whole thing

I absolutely love the party banter, it always makes me laugh^^ Especially in the DLC's, of which Legacy is my favourite *lol*
I recall one time, where I was in the final battle with Corypheus and Varric shouted that hilarious quip going: 'If he pulls a dragon out of his a**, I'm leaving!!!'
Now, you have to imagine this, it was my first playthrough of the DLC, I was super challenged (because I usually ignore the 'casual mode'), so I was trying my hardest not to die and have all my companions alive as well while sprinting for dear life away from the evil fire this dumb Magister was shooting at me, dodging lightning and ice blocks falling from the sky... So I was really well into it and my heart-rate was almost going through the roof and then suddenly that dwarf makes a comment like that... Should have seen my face, I was completely dumbfounded for a second or two, before I started laughing aloud... Of course, due to that, I ended up dying, because I wasn't fast enough on the health-potion...
Gotta love that dwarf, even the worst situation is still funny as hell with him around *gg*
