****ty, poorly justified reasons, yes.
The Reapers will not be able to ravage our worlds unoppsed, and will still need to engage the fleets, and even if those engagements are not decesive, they will still inflict casualties upon the Reapers.SandTrout wrote...
LOL I love how you snip out the other part of my quote because it counters your whole 'planetary eradication' campaign!
You didn't counter it at all.

No, it means you all debate like little sissies and use smartass comments while everyone else just laughs at you. Like when two guys are fighting at school and it's obvious neither of them will win but everyone just cheers on for the lulz.
Win for us, not you.

That is not "evidence". I asked for evidence.
What you gave me is a conclusion. I want to know how you reached that conclusion.
In any case, it's not a conclusion I disagree with. There is a greater than 0% chance that we can win, yes. The question is, how large or small is that number?
How can you have been reading this thread, and not yet know how I reached said conclusion? Craziness.
And how big or small the number may be is a moot point. Any number that we could come up with would be speculation. That is specifically why militaries use the number "0". It's undebatable, and narrows the iinfinite number of possibilities into only two.
Do we have 0% percent chance of winning, or don't we?
If the answer is we do (have a 0% chance of winning), then we surrender.
If the answer is we don't, then we fight.
So, if you admit we have a greater then 0% chance of winning, then I will choose to fight.

No. I got it. I just happen to like Humans (the kind that aren't goo) and Asarri (and turians too but I'd rather not list all the races) more than I do Reapers. Or freaky Reaper/Human hybrids.
I see the elegence implied in a Reaper/Human. But I'd rather not have a Reaper/Human INSTEAD of the plain old regular kind. And I'm kinda set on those little blue children....
Yeah. It's a fight to death for me. I chosen the option that has a chance for something other than goo.

You will not be able to do anything to them by this point. You cannot protect every world at once. You won't have time to react when the Reapers show up even if you have ships there. They'll drop out of FTL, fire, and then disappear again. There will be nothing you can do.
By the time you even realize the Reapers have attacked they'll be gone and destruction of your world will be imminent with you impotent to do anything about it.
That's what makes interplanetary war so dangerous.

All that means is that they have poor judgement. [/quote] Well, there is no argument on the point that someone has poor judgement. Edit: This is probably the most narcissistic statement I have ever read.

I admit, some times I fall short of my own ideals.
It's a patriotic thing too though. The asari are bad for human society in the long run.

They don't need to be deathstars. A kinetic impactor fired from a dreadnought class ship is capable of blasting large city-sized craters into a world. A few hits and you'll quickly be out of cities.
We've seen numerous examples of worlds and species "destroyed" in this way in the galaxy.

Depends upon your definition of "living".
And not every human in the galaxy will be Reaped. We know this from vigil.
Some would be turned into Husks, others will be indoctrinated and forced to gather resources, then left to starve.
Are those fates that you would wish upon your family just so that you could "survive" as something else?
I would rather be completely obliterated than subject my family to any of that.

That's not actually true. The Protheans weren't worthy of ascension, remember?
Regardless, even if that does happen to other humans it will be a necessary sacrifice.

A necessary sacrifice, when there is still a chance (however slim) of victory, and therefor survival on our own terms? Even if Reaper technology is included, we will be in control.Regardless, even if that does happen to other humans it will be a necessary sacrifice.
