How does the genetic line continue...it grinds to an udder and complete stop,it's not continuing it's just sitting there.

Answering that question is part of why I saved the Collector base.

If in the end we find out that a Reaper is nothing more than an alien machine made with bricks composed of human flesh then I'd say, yeah, let's go down fighting.

However if it is something more than that, if we live on, then we should consider their offer.

We won't be dying, we'll be living on.

We'll be evolving, you could say.

And we'll be helping to destroy life for millions of years to come.

It's not worth it.

reapers are just using organics to make more of themselves there is no ascension they just say that to fool people into thinking that so they can control you.

This is actually a good point on saving th CB.  What, in essence, is a Reaper?
Would be worth at least one playthrough saving the base just to find out!

So if you put a dog into a blender and then put the slop from that into a robot, the dog would live on,even though it is no longer of independant action, because I would like to beleive if the species "lived on" in the reapers one of them would be like...."so harby....this isn't really cool anymore,I dont think I want to just kill stuff every 50k years, its kind of...old."

However if I can walk across lava then maybe I should consider it"

But that doesn't mean the Reapers didn't try. EDI specifically states that the Reapers *tried* to create a Prothean Reaper, and failed.

Not quite. EDI speculated about this possibility, and never portrayed it as fact.

But if they didn't try, that makes my whole argument on the creation of the collectors false! :(
At least I'm willing to admit this is a possibiltiy, and a reasonable one.:)

Its my personal opinion that Harby is the Prothean Reaper, the genetic link why he is able to "Assume direct control" so quickly and readily across the billions of light years of dark space. All the leftovers that were no longer required were repurposed into Collectors to act as advanced scouts for the next cycle.
