I am very confused; on Dragon Age wiki, the First Blight took place 1,300+ years ago; but isn't the Magister Corypheus over 2,000 years old? Is the timeline just not precise because BW didn't pay close enough attention? or how exactly does it look? cheers

redacted.
Which part said he was over 2000 years old. I mean they could round to that in an estimation of his age. Odds are he is closer to 1300-1500 years old or so. Meanwhile the structures and so on around him could easiliy be 2000 years or older. It's late. I'd have to run it again to get back to that conversation point.

The 1st Blight started when Dumat was found by the darkspawn & then infected with the blight. Remember that it takes centuries of digging to find them.

In theory it takes centuries but that is when they were 'sleeping' if Chantry lore is to be believed. Dumat in Cory's time seems to be a lot more active/hands on, and I suspect was instrumental in leading Cory and the other Magister's to the Black City. Cory makes several references to this and he seems to be an active worshipper of Dumat.
And its kind of nice to see that the Chantry for once got something right. I like how the 'legend' of the darkspawn has been shown to have at least some of the mythology to be based in truth and not just all Andrastian spin. And makes me wonder just how many others of those first magisters/turned darkspawn have survived to the Dragon Age?

The Ages as they show it just basically shows warring within Tevinter until 800 TE. That is when the Chantry claims the Magisters tried to free the Old Gods and entered the Golden City becoming the first darkspawn. The first Grey Wardens were founded 890. It's listed as a 200 year dark peroid between the creation of the darkspawn and the complete push back of the darkspawn from the first blight. Roughly 20 years after the Darkspawn were pushed back is when Maferath and crew began their work.
Nothing suggests his being over 2,000 years old. The Grey Wardens were founded less than 100 years after he would have entered the Black City. Since that is only 1300 years before the events in game, that means he could only live as long as maybe a life could be extended by Blood Magic at best. This being a stretch. Regardless assuming you believe the timelines at all. His current state at least is in the 1400-1300 range. Someone replying "yup" to a question you had in another thread doesn't mean it's a confirmation.
