Hi
I bought the game, installed it (running windows XP) and then I tried to run it I can get to the config. screen but if I actually try to play the game this error shows up:
Failed to compile global shader FDOFAndBloomGatherFallbackPixelShader
RaiseException() Adress = 0x7c7e2afb ( filename not found )
CxxThrowException() Adress = 0x78158e89 ( filename not found )
Gmatrix2D::Swap() Adress = 0x10d98373 ( filename not found )
Adress = 0xe9791b4c
It's really frustrating, I really look forward to play the game...

The game box had a warning label on it regarding the required hardware. Read the sticky about reporting, and compare your hardware components to the system requirements, as you should have done in the store. If there is no good reason for that error message, then complete the problem report, as described in the sticky.

Yeah forgot that damn :$
But the reason i runned it on my old pc was because it didnt start on my windows 7...
So while I was waiting for a xp solution ,I searched further for my windows 7...
And i found one: problem was that i only got a picture with shep and the crew when i started the game and then it dissapeared, solution open it directly via program files => mass effect => binaries => masseffect.exe
I hope this helps others too
