Just a quick question, can anyone please check if the files for the Legacy DLC can be extracted from its archive, or if it's encrypted?

tmp, if this means u are trying/want to get all the wardens armours for DAO i will be so happy, i was playing awakening the other day thinking 'i wish i could have different warden armour for rouge warrior and mage, so we looked like a team but not all the same' Your Mods were literally the fist thing i thought of

Thank you for checking Sunnie22.
Yeah, i was thinking of adding the extra variants to the warden pack, but if the DLC files are encrypted then so much for that. The rogue variant may be possible to assemble from existing pieces but not sure really.

Graav - grey warden armour, so I assume like Bethany/Carver style. Only seen stuff for female mage, is identical to Bethany's warden set.

They look like this: http://i.imgur.com/rH2d2.jpg
There's a rogue and a warrior variation we didn't see before in those.
*squees* I hope you can find a way to do it

hmm.. the breatsplate for warriors is nice touch but not that great... Bioware really took the low road on these armor designs

on the other hand, the warrior armor does look abit more believable now, i wouldn't really go into battle with an armor like carvers warden model, if it were real

Gah; ok, sorry to be a pest, but could someone else please check if it's possible to extract the files from the DLC? Asking because someone just posted snippets from the DLC talk table meaning they were able to get it out somehow... so am getting mixed signals here :|

I'd love to see aremeta's recolours on the new models! I had to unistall his/her beautiful mod for this one, since it was just too jarring with different colour schemes.

tmp7704, TLK files with dialogues and codex entries aren't encrypted.
So, are ERF files encrypted? Because I get error in pyGFF editor when try to extract it...

Yes, the ERFs are encrypted, which is where all of the assets are located.

Aw...but thank you for trying anyway, TMP.
Hopefully there is a way, we've just not found it yet. xDDD

Looks like someone was able to extract the models http://www.dragonage...ile.php?id=3017, maybe ask them how they did it.

Same way everyone's always done it to release DLC mods (most visibly, retextures of Sebastian's armor and the item pack).

Yes they are. I'm sorry if I came across as putting forth a theory. I meant there to be no question. I know for a fact, because 1) I've worked with previous DLC files and 2) I've spoken to Lapis herself about it.

huh, but lapis's file came with the textures and meshes, em before it was ahem put under "review"

What's your point?
Why on earth was it put under review? Every other mod that recolors Sebastian's armor or makes it available for the PC to wear does the exact same thing, and no one ever cared a lick.

I have a feeling using that argument with the site moderators would cause these other mods to be put under review as well, not the other way around.
Think the nexus moderators/owners have some contact with BioWare people, so they can probably figure out together how to proceed about it.

That's a result I'm okay with. The Nexus's inconsistency is one of my biggest complaints about it. If they actually decide that the warden armor thing isn't okay, they'd better take down all the Sebastian stuff too. I'd willingly remove him from my mod if it'd mean consistent ruling from site staff.
Ironically, I could probably leave it up here at the BSN with no trouble
