I have no problem with Samara's look, she's an asari, and their culture is different. Her cleavage might have some ceremonial meaning, but one thing's for sure, the Justicar Order didn't design her outfit to be "sexy". Humans happen to think it's sexy, but humans have only been on the scene for a short time, so whatever.
WIN lol, though why do they remind me of Aria? (I love Aria by the way)Fata Morgana wrote...

Huh? FemShep looks like she's in her early-mid thirties to me, especially with Hale's voice.
Sure, the current femshep. but the one they're changing to for ME3 is not 30. Maybe 24 at a stretch, but not at all experienced. Just a kid.
Thus, I'd rather have the femshep from the fan art in this thread than the one BW is going to put as the default for ME3.
You know there is a character creator in game right and no one is forcing you to play what you consider a young looking Shepard. Anyway 29,500 votes say people like the way the current leading femshep looks. Its only a small number of people saying she looks young and many dont believe that at all.

I can hear Square Enix already racing to BioWare's door asking if they can burrow this.

Wrong, that's not what happened at all.
Nearly 30k votes for what they were allowed to vote on. No where was anyone allowed to vote for none of the above, or too young, or anything else you want to inject. It was just which of these is the best compared to the others.
Yes, there is a character creator, Capt. Obvious. I will be using it. But I'd still prefer the fan art femshep--even with the exposed chest area--in this thread over what BW is doing.
Thank you for reminding me that no one is forcing me to do anything. Just like no one is forcing me to share an opinion. Just like no one is forcing you to agree with my opinion.
If you like the new default femshep, cool. Many do. I prefer the fan art. Many here don't.

Wow, where do I start?
1. This isn't Mass Effect 3 related.
2. I can't believe so many people are being so critical of a FAN ART. I'm usually the first to jump on illogical art directions in things, but this is just fan art, it's not like it's going to be in the game, it's just something a very talented artist decided to design.
Why aren't there pages and pages of threads on other pieces of fan art that don't follow the Mass Effect lore or aren't realistic, even in the Mass Effect universe? Yeesh, this whole thread is full of knee-jerk reactors to absolutely anything that sexualizes a woman.

I guess it's barely Mass Effect 3 related in that sense, but it's not like BioWare officially said any of this would be in the game. I also highly doubt BioWare would specifically take away FemShep's right to wear normal armor and force everyone playing as FemShep to wear this. At most it could be an option, but that's about all I can see actually happening... would having the mere option still be offensive?Captain Crash wrote...
1. Yes it is Mass Effect 3 related as the creator of it now works for Bioware and this is one of his concept pieces. Although as he's new I am sure Bioware will point him on the feel of Mass Effect a little more.
2. People are being critical of it because of what I said above. He works for Bioware now so they just want to be sure that an open top protagonist doesnt appear. People dont want femshep overly sexualised, thats why people are reacting as they are. No one doubts his artistic talents, its very evident!
*stands corrected* I guess I'm still a little pissy about so many people voting for the impractical hair-in-your-face blonde FemShep after the whole rage over the alternate Ashley outfit... seems like a lot of people are picking and choosing what they find sexualized versus what they find pretty while just using practicality as an excuse.Remmak wrote...
My art was posted not long ago and there were pages and pages on how it doesn't fit the lore. Characters were also male. FYI.

I think it looks great but to be honest the outfit looks like something that she would wear for an occasion, like the outfit in the Kasumi loyalty mission.
