Wow, this makes Miranda's outfit look tasteful. (And speaking of Miranda, Mass Effect has already reached its "women who look like Michael Jackson" saturation point.) And apparently nothing says "badass space commander" more than an impractical haircut.

Jacob's armour wasn't unrealistic - his body underneath the armour was. That degree of v-shaped-ness? I've seen some very fit very v-shaped guys, but that's a little beyond anything I've ever seen.
Miranda's body was totally plausible, but her scary bottom-cleavage armour wasn't.
I do appreciate the fact that ME2 was probably the first major Western game to have an unrealistically proportioned male character solely so people could perv on him though lol. That took some balls.

I like the art, but I hate the armor. I like the fact that the armor for male shep and fem shep are basically the same thing. I want it to stay like that!

-She wears a catsuit, not actual armor.
-The hair style. I don't like hairs that cover half the face. Personal taste.

Well, considering that shields going down is a gameplay mechanic, I would expect characters to be wearing something under their shields.

Calm down, Chicken Little, he's not BioWare's art director, he's just a talented guy working for them - as you can see, he's a Senior Character Designer (not the only one, last I checked), and that's under the art director, so he's not making final decisions about looks.
He's very talented, either way.

If the cleavage was covered, I'd be happy with this outfit as an option for biotic or infiltrator femshep. The hair's ok - there's no reason why Shepard can't have her own sense of style, she's not in the military any more.

If you didn't say that was femshep I would have thought you were in the wrong forums to be posting that. For one the art style doesn't quite look right, that cleavage is ugh worthy, and the "armor" doesn't look like anything shep would wear. Even if you patch up the cleavage the armor just looks like it's from a different game and not ME. N7 armor > this.

Indeed this guy is now part of Bioware. However apart from the obvious flaw in the top half, this is actually a fairly decent light armour variant. Something Mass Effect could certainly do with. This gentleman is new to Bioware and this is clearly a concept piece. I think his fellow developers will point him in the direction not to overly sexualise femshep. The blog entry below shows how much Bioware knows that she shouldnt go in that direction. So I wouldnt worry about it too much.
