But if we discuss a less armored version of a character that's been armored so far, ho-ho. Everyone is suddenly telling her to get her cleavage under control.
Not necessarily wanting to open up that can of worms, mind you. Just something interesting to point out.

The light armour in this fanart is fantastic, it just shows too much cleavage to fit with the character. Replace the chest opening with plate like the rest of the chest, and it'd be perfect for the game.Aris Ravenstar wrote...
I agree there should be an option for light armor. Just not... that thing.Spanky Magoo wrote...
Sure, I didnt mean exactly that. Maybey that could be her casual suit (more conservitive I guess) and she just adds a light chest plate over it. The guyshep should have light armor too, It bugged the crap out of me that Miranda, Thane, Kasumi, Samara, Jacob, Tali, and Zaeed to a lesser extent all look awesome and get along just fine without looking like walking tanks but shep has to wear 100 lbs of armor everywhere but the normandy even when according to the codex its useless against anything but melee is beyond dumb.

The hair is still an issue. It would be flopping around in her eyes, obscuring her vision.Gill Kaiser wrote...

I'll be very disappointed if Bioware sexes up femshep to this degree. It would look good on Jack though.
She's flat chested though...thank god.

Yeah. I'm with the "no" crowd. Good artwork, but definately not very Shepardish.

Sorry, but IMO this argument doesn't have any weight. Why?
I can think of a couple FemShep hairstyles where if they weren't all plastic-y would surely fall into her face. But those are just fine? (The medium length tucked behind her ear and the one that looks sort of like Chakwas hairdo) .... How about Miranda's hair? You can't tell me that wouldn't fall in her face. How about Ashley's new do?
It's just hair... so what if it's in her face? If it's that big of a deal... just put a helmet on her.
As for the actual point of the OP.... I would absolutely LOVE to have armor like that in the game for FemShep. I wouldn't necessarily care if the clevage was exposed especially after ME2 with Jack and Samara. But I wouldn't mind throwing some light plating over that portion either. It would make a great light type armor for an infiltrator or engineer!
I say put it in the game! But I would also like DudeShep to have light armor available .... say something like Jacob's ME2 armor or something like what Morinth wore before you recruited her.

Not sure what your problem is here. Those hairstyles would interfere with her vision as well, and are impractical. I don't use them on my FemShep.
Thus I win.

It would be like having MaleShep walk around with Buttless/Jockstrap-like armored chaps...

Seriously, that haircut is ridiculous and no real soldier in her rightful mind would wear such a ridiculous haircut into battle (female or not). Not only is it extremely impractical, it also doesn't look serious at all. I can take a punk girl serious with that hair. I could take a goth girl serious with that hair. But I could never take an ELITE SOLDIER serious with that hair.

I don't know why rail thin is still the go to aspect in designing women.
The first thing I noticed when I looked at the pic was the impractical hotness and un-Shepardness.
The second thing was the body proportions. And not to pick on the artist here, this kind of thing is standard throughout society (to the point of photshoping magazine cover models to be thinner. Don't believe me? Why is their waist in the middle of their ribcage?)
To name a few, her head/shoulder ratio is the same as a 14 year old. Her hips are narrower then her shoulders. Her waist is also far higher then natural, going right up to the bottom of her bust line, where her ribcage suddenly flares out to the sides (actually, the in-game shep casual model does this too). Her limbs are ridiculously thin. Her thighs flare on the outside but not on inside. Her legs are unnaturally long (her fingertips barely pass her crotch. test the real life proportions on yourself by standing up).
I get all kind of creepies from looking at this kind of art. Like watching a Garrus/Wrex love scene. "They WHAT? She... omg. I didn't know that was even a joint..."

Did you miss the topics re: the impracticality of Miranda's and new Ashley's hair? People have stated issues with them before, also regarding the attire of the much female cast of ME2, and the lack of practical armor sealing on the men as well, and the silly breathers a lot of the team use instead of helmets.

Love the look, except for the open cleavage area, that just seems silly. Seems perfect for an Infiltrator shep (assuming the cleavage problem was at least partially fixed/covered up.)
The pearly white skin of her exposed chest contrasted with the black suit makes perfect sense. Want to help those enemy snipers dial in a perfect kill shot through the heart!

No I didn't miss any of that, and it has nothing to do with this piece of concept art. If someone wants to whine about Miranda or Ashley's hair, they can cruise on over to the ME characters forum.

To be honest I think this design is far better than the blonde shep I voted for.
