to clear some things up, the Blood Dragon Armor scales to your current stats in the PS3 version, so if the stats on your armor suck, its because you had it from the start.

I sent in a ticket about the stat difference, they only thing I got from the vague response was that it would be fixed in the game patch, If one ever comes out for the ps3. There is no reason for the stats to be horrible from the start since no unhacked character will get the stats needed to wear this until a decent way into the game.

Yeah, I have felt scammed overall for investing in the collector's edition for PS3. I have MANY issues to vent, and most are similar to the combined threads I have gone through, so I won't bother. I just feel like a dishonest used car salesman sold me a car with a trunk full of water.

This was probably from an earlier build before they tweaked it for the other versions. I'm sure it will get patched. In the meantime, is this really the best massive armor in the game? There has to be some replacement for it. I know it's very good but haven't compared.

its only tier 6, there is tier 7 lolol

It's just odd that the XBOX360 gets a better version stat-wise. It wouldn't be so bad if people were informed beforehand. But alas, we were not.

Seems like there's two versions of the armor, 1.0 and 1.1. The PS3 version is the 1.1, not sure if the pc and x360 verions are getting tweaked to be the same, as well. Based on what I've read, yes, but I could be totally wrong.

Just wondering..
I redeemed the armor. I got the armor but not the other pieces.. Later i found them selling at a huge price at that Dwarf that sell you things at Camp. Weirdly, i bought them one by one because i had not so much money and then i ended with an entire DBA set and  one extra DB helm..

This happened to someone else?

And btw, i have no knowedge of the differences.. Can someone state these 'differences'?

4. the bonus disc for the collectors edition is NOT on DVD but on BLU-RAY meaning you can't hear the damn soundtrack that you paid for unless you got a blu-ray drive in your PC

And your PS3 has what other function? ;)

really...? thats a interesting thing. But I wonder if a patch could possible fix the stat difference between the armor of PC/360 vs PS3.

Based on a quick look to the PC side, their version of Blood Dragon armor is being patched to become the way 'ours' is.

ugh i ****ing hate these console wars....are you really telling me that the DEVELOPERS themselves have a problem with the ps3 and this is how they show it? .....GRRRRRR >:[ slowly i'm starting to resent ea, and maybe bioware altogether if ps3 keeps getting the short end of the stick

I think it was an oversight I've played all 3 versions

IMHO the best armor in the game is the Warden Commander set from the Watcher's Keep DLC. It can be upgraded to dragonbone and it has no helmet so you can wear whatever headgear you please.

The Blood Dragon set is fixed at silverite. It starts out that way and cannot be upgraded to dragonbone.  Once you redeem the code your character always starts the game with it.

To whom did you sell the item?  Some merchants do not upgrade things while others seem to do it faster.  I prefer to use Mikhael at Warden's Keep.  His stuff seems to become dragonbone sooner than anybody else's.  The party storage chest can also upgrade items for free, but it seems to take longer than Mikhael.

As well, items do not always upgrade right away.  It is more likely to happen if your character has gained levels since acquiring the item.  It is even possible for an item to downgrade, but that doesn't happen often.  And some items, usually unique ones, simply cannot be upgraded at all.

Commander Armour, Legion Armour, and Juggernaut Armour(when you do Dalish last) are all superior to the Dragon Blood Armour, might as well sell it right off the bat and get the sovereigns.

I also thing the whole Cylon look is horrendous in a game like this..ME2 fine but glowing parts (Which look like red fluorescent lights) on armour in a fantasy game just don't do it for me

Mmh, I sorta agree with you. I think that the rest of the armor looks fine (even great, I'd say), but the helm is kind of meh (but then again, that is the visual design issue I have with this game). It's compounded by the fact that the 1.1 version requires the helm for the set bonus, so I suffer even more when I slap the nice-looking silverite heavy infantry helm on the character...

Frankly, the item is (theoretically at least) a rather expensive DLC item. Nerfing it with a patch to the point of total mediocrity seems somewhat shady to me... Of course, that's not an issue to us ps3 users, since it was nerfed to begin with. :)

In my opinion, as long as blood dragon armor gives us a health bonus, I'm fine with that. It's a unique armor because of that stat, which is oh-so important for a certain mage specialization class. The blood-covered armor suits the "roleplaying" feel of the specialization, and the glowy bits? I'll say it's powered by magic (Why not?).
