Hey all. I got the bundle off Steam, and am trying to install Kaedrin's PrC mod. I unzip his pack into the override folder of My Documents. I've tried both putting them in a subfolder of that folder to try and keep things organized, and just straight putting them in the override folder itself. When I go to create a character, the options for the new classes/kits/etc are there, but there's no text. Just the icon, and a blank box where the names should be. What am I doing wrong?
Another question. I was looking to install a couple mods; Kaedrin's PrC, Tony's AI, Charlie's UI, and some mod that adds light emitters to spell effects. How exactly do (can?) I go about getting them to play well together, since they seem to share some XML files (ie. creatureexamine.xml is one I think). Thanks.
Installing Kaedrin's PrC's

put the entire unzipped contents in the override folder. You can put it into a sub folder if you want, it wil go thru all the folders in that folder on game start up.
The dialog.tlk file goes in the root of the NWN2 folder ( my docs/neverwinter nights 2/dialog.tlk )
Dialog.tlk has the text and it's being missing is the sole reason for your problem.
( Make sure if you add new content from others that any of the new files does not have the same name as what kaedrin is using, ie game will only see one spells.2da and that can cause problems for you if suddenly kaedrins version is not being used and instead the version for some other project. Most of those you listed work together in some way, but to do it properly you have to edit them so they merge the features from the 2 versions )

Ahh, I feel stupid! Well, in this case I am. Thanks.
Any advice on the mods and how they work together?

Try it, see how bad the issues are, look for files with the same name and either delete the non kaedrin one, or try to figure out how to edit them. ( compare both versions to the vanilla game version and you can see what each modder is doing )

Welcome, Dregor Thule.
This doesn't help your situation directly, but I see you mentioned keeping things "organized". There is a way to modify the NWN2 shortcut to create a different home folder than the default "My documents/Neverwinter NIghts 2" folder. The new shortcut can be renamed to what ever your want, the new home folder can be named what ever you want, and the new home folder can be placed where ever you want. Each new home folder has its own "override" folder. This is handy for having a different home folders for each mod. You can monkey with stuff in a different override folder than the original. An example is if you want to play with Kaedrin's PrC and Tony's AI, you may want to have a shortcut that directs the game to "KaedrinTony" (just an example name).
(A Steam game will have a different location for "nwn2main.exe")

I am having a similar problem and am not sure what's going on. I am trying to download it from the NWVault and I am having trouble installing it. When I download it (the third file on the list) All I get is a strange file called
"KaedPRCPack_v1.41.4_Override_Dialogtlk.7z" That I can't do much of anything with.
I know i am going to feel like a fool when this is explained to me, but what am i doing wrong here?
Thanks in advance.

7z is a type of compression, pretty much one of the better types to use in fact.
You get an installer at http://www.7-zip.org/ after which you can right click any *.7z file and decompress it. ( supports multiple formats so you won't need whatever you were using for zip files anymore, this can compress in 7z or zip format as needed. )

I only get 4 files when I unzip the single player zip file. Someone mentioned 11 files, and mentioned the word "folders", I get no folders, just 4 files.
And then there's all this stuff with two directories for the game! One
in my documents, and one in program files/atari/neverwinter nights 2.
Which one is supposed to have the kaedrin files in the override? Which one is supposed to have the dialog.bak? Is ANY of them supposed to contain a dialog.tlk file?
The only differences I get in the game when trying different combinations is that sometimes there is no text. I never get any instance where options for extra classes are there.
