Well yeah, I myself don't like the amount of Normandy lithos (and later on we'll probably get the ME3 Normandy), but I don't get why a lot of people dislike that particular Normandy litho. After all, it's a welcome change from the previous Normandy in space stuff.Captain Crash wrote...

I don't get the Normandy hate. We already have 2 Normandy in space lithos, would you like another one? Here is hoping that there'll be a two-pack.
They figured the Normandy sells as the SR-2 was one the most popular Lithos released. Why not carry on.
However now we have four Lithos with the SR-2 on. Yeah we like the Normandy, but its starting to become a bit repetitive already using it for Cerberus, Dead Reaper and The Prototype in relatively quick succession.
What I'm also interested in is how many more ME2 lithos will we get? After all, the important locations are already done and the only things we are lacking so far are a couple of Character lithos (Mordin and Samara). But instead of those two, we are getting another Garrus and Normandy...

I never liked the first one of Garrus and this Normany litho isn't bad, but it could have put more of the Normandy into the picture.
The dead reaper is slightly meh as it looks too much like a movie scene that goes against my taste.
The reason for them not releasing all the best ones right away is so that they can sell less popular ones to make more money etc, before people get all the best ones and mosat likely never look back at the store as they are content with what they have - they may peek, but rarely.

True, like you say its the ship in different setting so it does make it a little more unique. But I think its not really about the setting but about having another Litho with the Normandy in again as previously stated.

As much as I agree, I think its something your going to have to get used to. ME3 is going to be big on epic shots and cutscenes. The trailers have already elluded to it and David Silverman is stating it highly likely to happen. Especially using buzz words like " break out and go truly blockbuster", plus they need to use that massive EA budget on something.
Anyway kind of digressing a bit to much there. My point is dont assume ME3 wont look like a blockbuster movie at times and the Dead Reaper litho while a concept may be a direction we will see more of.

I just don't think it's necessary at all to have 3 Normandy lithographs when there are literally dozens of other characters and locations people have been begging for over the past couple of years. I doubt anyone can honestly make a good case for there to be more Normandy SR 2 lithographs outside of the obvious fact that they sell well.
However if there have to be so many Normandy lithographs, atleast make them great, not just a random appearance so the word Normandy or SR 2 can be thrown in there. We've all wanted an SR1 litho, and you've got 3 great settings that would be unique and awesome for a litho, a space shot of the SR1, a shot of it's destruction, and you could do a final one of it's crash site. The chance for doing those is rapidly closing since after going to ME 2 lithographs no setting or ME 1 exclusive character has been done and we obviously won't be seeing the SR 1 in ME 3 outside of some flashback or other weirdness.
The Dead Reaper is not a bad lithograph, but I feel like it's a wasted opportunity, that Reaper IFF mission had so many great shots and scenes in it, that it would have been fantastic to see some artist renditions of some of that work be put into a lithograph. I doubt very much we'll see another "Dead Reaper" lithograph, so I just wish it would have been the best possible shot used for it, and I don't personally feel this was it. This is more like Korlus with a Reaper in the distance instead of a ship.
It will be interesting to see how these sell, especially if they stick with this new $50 price point. I don't see these 2 having the same wide appeal as most others, and considering Archangel sold very sluggishly in the second release, maybe we'll have a little easier time this go round. But who knows.

Ok we dont really know what Treehouse has up its sleeve for the future. But it would be nice to see other variations. As said we know the Normandy is a safe bet for them. Nothing wrong business wise with that in fact we all understand it. We seen scenes like Pragia and Purgatory not sell well because they are not very iconic. The Dead Reaper is a unique setting and has a unique feel to it. By putting in a recognisable ship like the SR-2 as well adds to selling im sure and makes it less of a risk.

Yeah, I wanna have some Samara and Mordin on my wall. I guess they will be the last ME2 lithos, because they will sell out really fast.Tugga_gott wrote...

The Dead Reaper is tempting, but if the price is the $50 everyone's expecting after the Archangel litho ($63 to those of us using worldwide shipping) I'll be letting these slide.

If you want to maximise your chances Mike, look out for the release times on Facebook and make sure your online for that time. The dates and times haven't been announced yet, so just keep up to date for now.

I'm pretty sure $50 is the new standard.Mike 9987 wrote...
Exactly how long does it take normally for these things to sell out? is it really a few minutes? im very interested in these, and i want to know how often i should check the store.
I'll be buying this lithos regardless though. But the Normandy SR2 is underwhelming. The Dead reaper one is awesome though.

I'm concerned about the new $50 price tag. That's a hefty sum they're asking and a big increase over the usual $30 of about 18 months ago, especially considering the "limited" nature has also been diluted over the same period.Legendaryhawk wrote...

With that in mind, I'm hoping they don't only release them as a two-pack as $100 is a lot to pay for a regular-sized lithograph: I baulked somewhat at paying Valve $100 for a lithograph that was twice the size, so I'm less than enthusiasic at the idea of effectively paying the same for a smaller litho.

Actually I'd forgotten about that: I may just wait for the unsigned one to appear and save myself the stress. It's not like I don't already have enough signed lithographs by now; there is a certain degree of irritation that I'll likely pay the same as I did a year or so back for something that's unsigned and unlimited, but this time I just want the artwork.GuidoTheKillerPimp77 wrote...
I have to agree. Though in some measure the store is just reacting to supply and demand, a 67% increase in price over the past year does seem a bit much. Since they now are also producing unsigned versions of the same size and quality, I'd like to see the signed ones at $40, with the unsigned at $30.

I think that the price is the biggest factor here and that they have reached their limit. In the span of a year they have increased the price by almost 70%. Bear in mind that there haven't been that any changes to the lithographs to justify the price increase other than supply and demand. Orders aren't shipped with lower numbers first, paper quality is the same, etc. Shipping is supposed to be blamed but I already pay $13 for delivery and that takes over 1.5 weeks to reach Canada which is longer than the shipping time to overseas countries.
thats not entirely true. my last lithograph took 1.5 months to get there. and i live in the netherlands. which is one of the main distribution hubs for europe for all overseas goods.
