where are they? what happens if you find them all?

The four items are: crown, dagger ,scroll and urn. One item is past the altar. You just have to put them on the altar to activate it .

by the way, why is there a dumat shrine in a grey warden prison? is there an ingame explanation I missed?

You just get loot if I remember correctly.
Why is it there? Well, Cory and the Carta down there worship him. And I think the tower was there before the wardens made it into a prison.

I cant find the dagger and i'm scared if i venture too far i cannot complete this quest. can anyone point me in the right direction

I just found out that the sacrifice gives you more experience, it's only a 200 difference though... but it's something to consider I guess... (Wonder if this will have any effect on future content... )

hey it is a little off topic but is anyone able to get the dragon blood armor i have tried everything and it never shows up? is it a glitch?

i just finished legacy and i cant go back into it to look for the stuff i missed i was gonna do the alter thing later and now i cant dangit...

As for the locations, this is from the wiki (I couldn't recall the specific on two of them, hence I borrowed):

- An ancient Tevinter crown - found on your way down the tower in Corypheus's Prison - Farele's Floor.

- An ancient Tevinter dagger - found on your way down the tower in Corypheus's Prison - Farele's Floor.

- Sacred Urn of Dumat - this one is found after the altar, which you will incure a big battle with deepstalkers and giant spiders.

- An ancient Tevinter scroll - found a little away from the altar in the same area in Corypheus's Prison - Tower Base.
