I'm worried that too many important characters are going to die

I don't see it that way, but people will die.Dasher1010 wrote...
Basically, everyone but the VS and Liara die is my current prediction. Hopefully I'm wrong and hopefully there are ways to save people on your team but I remember hearing abotu "consequences" in ME3 if you chated on your LI in ME2 which makes me think that all the ME2 LIs are going to die in ME3.
Even in the game discription is states that not everyone will surivive. That can be taken many ways, but people will die. Which is what I want. Emotional stuff in ME3. Both good and bad.

Yeah the suicide mission was lame because it was easy to have everyone survive. So I do hope some people die in ME3. But if Liara, Garrus and Miranda die I may just have to cry.
This. But Garrus, Joker and Mordin.
It would actually make me sob. Can't believe I'm so attached to them but at least it means the writers are doing a good job

But It is going to suck. lol!
I hope Shepard doesn't die on this one. Or I will bawl. I'm too attached to my Sheploo.
If Tali, Kaidan, Miranda or Liara die.....

I just don't want it to be forced deaths for the sake of characters dying, it needs to be well-tied into events, and not a repeat of Virmire. (Also wouldn't support any 1 character[Thane excluded] having an unavoidable death. Thane actually has reasons he may die no matter what. The other characters...not so much)

Would Bioware be as cruel as to purposely kill off the characters your Shepard had spent the most time with? For emotional effect? The imports can read who you romanced and such, but perhaps who you took with you on most missions, who do you check back with for conversations more often? Maybe you're LI will die no matter what, for shock value.
It's illogical, and probably impossible, but it's still something to ponder.

The only death that would make me cry is if Liara died and I couldn't prevent it. I lost Tali on my first playthrough and it made me very sad, but didn't cry. That will be my first import file too. Lost Mordin too. That is going to be a very interesting ME3 playthrough.Sarcastic Tasha wrote...

I'm actually convinced that Shepard is going to die. Bioware has said multiple times that it's the end of Shepard's story. From the trailer that was presented, Shepard sees a child in an air shaft. He turns around for a second, the child is gone. Hallucinations is a symptom of indoctrination, and indoctrination isn't curable. Shepard being indoctrinated is yet another possibility for why Cerberus is after Shepard, no matter what your choice with the Collector Base was.
yeah at first i thought about this but i read in article that you see the child later on. but then again it still could be an indoctrination thing. yeah i always thought shepard was heading to his ultimate death,

The kid didn't disappear I don't think, just crawled back in the air ducts. Frankly, in kid logic that probably makes more sense than running off with a stranger, but I still think this could be the end of Shepard.

In fact I'm hoping Bioware kills off some fan favorites. I'd love it for example if those who still had Tali & Garrus alive, ended up in a situation where they could save one but not the other. Mass Effect 3 should have some tragedy thrown into the story and it should be impossible to get your entire team through unscathed.

I would hope this isn't the case...I take my favorite squaddies on my missions....as I paragon my whole squad and am a conversations completionist, who I take with me would be the only clue as to my favorites....and my Shep is unromanced....for now anyway, that depends on the options available in ME3.
I hope if some ME squaddies are destined to die no matter what we do, BW maybe lets us choose our teams first and it will be a percentage of those (maybe 1, 2, 3, etc... of them) we don't choose that may die...I would still feel sorry and upset for most of them, but am able to spare those I love.

It isn't a stretch to assume it's among those "wildly different" endings to the story that Casey spoke of anyway.Avilia wrote...
As much I love a happy ending, I'm sort of half liking the idea of Shepard dying.
