I'm tired of reading about how the Reapers are going to win, and we should all just get melted into pudding and  get fed to a baby reaper. (Way to stay positive guys!) This is all so depressing, but I do think that the Reapers winning would be a kind of cool optional ending that would be really hard to achieve. Kind of like the ending in mass effect 2 where shepard and the rest of the crew die except for Joker. However, I am going to strive for an ending with icecream and unicorns that poop rainbows. I want shepard to save and unite the galaxy, kick some Reaper *** and walk off into the sunset with his/her love interest. What kind of ending do you want?

Bittersweet endings are often the most memorable... kinda hoping for that.

I want it all and I want it based upon and influenced by game choices from all three games.

I want a happy ending
I want a tragedy
I want a bittersweet ending
I want to annihilate the reapers and save the galaxy
I want to sacrifice the galaxy and save humanity
I want Jack and Femshep to go riding into the sunset together.

I want to mourn over the graves of lost friends
I want my friends to mourn over my grave with the ashes of a dead galaxy falling over the memorial
I want my friends to mourn over my grave with the light of a new Golden age bathing my memorial in heavens light.

I want it all and more

You fail.

Everyone dies.

The ending will be a log of Shepard warning the future civilization of the galaxy about the Reapers.

Shepard and his crew dying to save the galaxy from the Reapers somehow, but I doubt they`ll let kill off Shepard.

And once again, Shepard's warnings are ignored.

I like this ending.

I am getting sick of this trend that "killing off the hero" at the end is the only way to have a great ending. Or that endings in which the hero does not die are "disney" endings for children.

Screw that...I want my bloody happy ending. An ending in which everyone freaking dies by default would definitely prevent me fom ever replaying the game

An interesting ending.

I want the revelation of the Reapers creators/purpose/intent to be frankly, shocking, mind-blowing, and then having to make the decision to let them destroy the galaxy or stop them to be the hardest decision ever seen in a video game.

This^. Also I am hoping for an ending where on one hand I feel like I accomplished something. On the other I want to feel like 'we did it.....but at what cost.' So yeah a bittersweet ending. I want the ending of ME3 to more or less make cry. The only game so far that has came close to making me cry was Dragon Age: Origins. Towards the end if you leave your dog behind to go and fight the last boss. That scene had my eyes watering I never felt more emotionally attached to a game before in my life. So I wan the ending of ME3 to make me cry. Anything less than that and I will not be satisfied.

This pretty much. The war against the Reaper is won but in the process all that is old and familiar is torn down. The galaxy practically starts anew with all the old powers devestated.

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand........even after that scene no one has to die (unless you said no to Morrigan). As long as that is an option I am cool with that

I want the perfect ending for my Shepard. After all is said and done, I would want a simple ending, like Shepard staring out the side windows at Earth with Liara at his side. Kind of like the start of ME1.

The ending needs to be gratifying, as well as mystique. It has to give me the chills up my spine by being that epic, and it needs to show that its all over, but Shepard will always be ready to suit up again at a moments notice. Kind of like the end of Halo 3, where Master Chief goes into cryo, its over, but he's still ready.

NO suicide. No FTW taking the reapers out. A hero needs a real heroic ending, not this last horrah bull****.

Bittersweet. I need some deaths. This is not gonna be a pretty story. However, I dont want it to end completely bleakly. Give me some hope, but make that hope feel like a relief. I wanna go through hell to get to it.

I want an ominous ending. Those are the best. Something like the Reapers and TIM are taken care of but you see Shepard sit down in TIM's chair, pull out a cigar, then smile wickedly. Basically, an ending that makes you think rather than feel.

I honestly don't care how exactly the Reaper arc ends, except that I want to see at least one massive final stand, which may end in whatever way the writers necessary. The important thing is that the Cerberus arc, whether it ends before, during or after the Reaper one, ends with Shepard fighting the Illusive Man in a one-on-one battle in that room, with Shepard eventually winning and letting himself fall into the "Illusive Throne"... becoming the new Illusive Man.

"You keep what you kill."

ok you know what game did this well?

Vampire: the Masquerade - Redemption

at the end of the game you faced basically a 4th generation Tzimisce named Vukodlak

you had 3 choices

1: Fight..you kick his butt, save the love of your (un)life and spend eternity with her
2: Submit to him. Become his puppet (and he forced you to kill your owman in the process)
3: Usurp him....drain him dry, get his powers and being on the Gehenna thus plunging the world in darkness despair and death AFTER draining your woman as well for funzies

If ME3 lets me choose in the same fashon I am totally ok
