An interesting ending.

I want the revelation of the Reapers creators/purpose/intent to be frankly, shocking, mind-blowing, and then having to make the decision to let them destroy the galaxy or stop them to be the hardest decision ever seen in a video game.

this one sounds neat then we can get text summaries of whatever happened to shep, memorable npcs, and consequences or rewards received from our past decisions. Even if shep dies I want to know what happened to everyone and the world I died for.

I would like a bittersweet one.

A happy one one but it can't be too happy I mean the we go through what's going to be worse then WW3 here so ultra happy just can't happen but for me if shep and his LI live and they can live together that would be happy for me.

shep sacrifices someone else for the win

shep and LI die together saving the galaxy

shep turns and fights willingly for the reapers

the reapers win and if this happens I expect shep to suffer. These guys chased him forever they aren't going to up and kill him so quickly.

I just want a variety of endings that can be achieved through things we did or didn't do throughout all 3 games so it's not limited solely to only endgame final choices.

Bioware already said there will be no traditional endings, and that there are multiple endings.

Now, you all can have your fairy tale ending, but i want my ultimate failure ending/Import start.

I want to be able to continue traveling around the galaxy being a badass with my various LIs and squad mates after i beat the reapers. And honestly i want to be able to get a happy ending, with the option of sadder ones.


I hate myself for wanting kids but dammit i want that option! I'll adopt a Turian i don't care.

Bittersweet, I want the ME galaxy to be a changed place, and Shepard should have to experience some personal loss as well (loss of a few current/former crew and/or team members).

what i dont really want though is one of those text endings like at the end of jade empire or dragon age. i want to see what happens to my crew and the galaxy and see how i changed things. when i get those text endings it always feels a little anti climatic.

i just read that last post crimsontearz, that sounds good, but i think there should be 4-5 different outcomes depending on choices made and sacrifices that had to be done.

Something that is not bittersweet (either a complete success or a complete failure) and not particularly epic/dramatic.

Something epic and cathartic for the players as well as something rewarding and worthwhile for the developers.

Well hopefully it's something that most of us will be satisfied with. Me, i just want a good ol' fashioned ending where the hero wins and saves the day.....not that there won't be any consequences and/or sacrifices involved of course lol.

I dunno. The only endings I'm looking forward to are

a) Shepard dies (optionally with LI) and the galaxy is saved, but they lose their greatest champion
rocks fall, everyone dies, but Shepard manages to fling a light into the future
c) Shepard emerges victorious, and when everyone tries to hail them, they just limp back to the Normandy (optionally with LI) and FTL the f--k away.

But, you know, whatever BW decides. Just no pre-scripted THIS CHARACTER MUST DIE deaths. Punish me for making stupid decisions, sure, but not for just playing the game.

Optional Endings.

Reapers dead - galaxy united - Shep and crew alive
Reapers alive - everything else dead
Reapers dead - Cerberus / Human dominant galaxy.

Those would be the three main, with perhaps some variation - e.g - Earth left destroyed / Earth Saved / various races / allies alive or lost etc.

The two ideas I really liked were the one where the Shepard VI warns the next civilization like Vigil, and the one where the Reapers have a mind-blowing reason for "reaping" and it actually forces you to make a difficult choice.

Of course, the ending with the VI á la Ilos is only possible if you got the Shepard VI from Mouse.
