Zorg can be TIM though.
I dig it! rather thoughtful and insightful.

I want the Reapers gone - and I want the galaxy pulled back from the precipice of ruin at the last moment - with hope rekindled, I want the Mass Effect universe to be completely altered from what it has been in 1, 2, and 3.
I want humanity diminished in importance - I want Earth in shambles, and humanity a client of either the Batarians (I've explained the plausibility before - I'm not going to bother here) or the Asari.
I want the next Mass Effect to deal with humanities rebirth as a true space faring race as opposed to the "New Kid who managed to do everything right and get everything it wanted."

I'm tired of reading about how the Reapers are going to win, and we should all just get melted into pudding and get fed to a baby reaper. (Way to stay positive guys!) However, I am going to strive for an ending with icecream and unicorns that poop rainbows. I want shepard to save and unite the galaxy, kick some Reaper *** and walk off into the sunset with his/her love interest. What kind of ending do you want?
Seriously? I want a realistic ending, whether it be the cycle of extinction repeats or it damn well almost did. Happy endings are bullsh!t.

This is all so depressing, but I do think that the Reapers winning would be a kind of cool optional ending that would be really hard to achieve. Kind of like the ending in mass effect 2 where shepard and the rest of the crew die except for Joker.
I honestly think the happy endings should be the hardest to achieve. The odds are supposed to be low in ME2 that you'll survive but you purposely have to try to die in that game, which is lame. In ME3 the freakin reapers are here and they are highly advanced machines, I think that their success should be the easiest ending to get and the everybody lives happily ever after is as hard as it was in ME2 to get the death ending. Let's be real here people.

Shepard''s story is over after Mass Effect 3 so if there is a Mass Effect 4 he won't be in it.BiasedParagon wrote...
A ending focusing on the defeat of the Reapers, regardless of any choice. If Sheppard's dead, slowly approach the burial site from the ground before going through it and zooming in on his eye. Have it suddenly open and reveal he's actually been indoctrinated! Creepy music plays. If Sheppard's alive, show him having a good time or something and do the same thing. Zoom in slowly from the ground until it reaches his eye and shows he's been indoctrinated. Open the way for Mass Effect 4.

Malanek999 ..."I want multiple endings."
TheWerdna "I hope for several endings based on your decisions throughout all three games. Some will be sad, some bittersweet, some happy. That way the player can strive for the ending they wish. Of course there will be one ending in which the Reapers win, but that should be for making really really bad choices. The ending would also differ depending on if Shepard was Paragon or Renage.
Now, the most likely ending should be the bittersweet one, in which the Reapers are defeated but at a heavy cost. I still think the happy ending should be possible, but you should have to work hard to get it."

There's a lot I agree with from what my fellow players have said above. I do want multiple endings but not required arbitrary deaths of team mates. Shepards decisions ought to have impact there.
There are also a LOT of storyline threads that have not been wrapped up yet.
Maybe all these threads cannot be tied up neatly. It's an imperfect Universe and there's a lot of species with competing / possibly opposing interests. Even after The War Against the Reapers where a whole Galaxy may unite against the common foe - tensions will remain, re-emerge and the balance of power may have shifted depending on the conduct of the war.
Still I would hope that progress CAN be made towards reconciliation on several of those tense storylines that could lead right back to war between the Milky Way Races such as: Quarian vs Geth, Rachni vs Everybody, Krogan vs Salarian, and Humanity vs Batarians ( after Shepard blew up Bahak system ). Yeah Cerberus has got to be sorted out somehow too.
I just hope this scene can be avoided...

Scene: ( At the newly established Reaper graveyard... A Neutron star )
( A combined orbiting fleet provides security - ensuring that none of the Reaper shells reactivates... )
( Near the fleet, we see a new orbiting space station nearby. )
View shifts to inside the main tech lab.
Tali and techs from all races are counting up the Reaper shells, and pouring over the downloaded data on the number of known Reapers.... As the Reaper shells arrive they are scanned, broken up, and accelerated via mass driver into the Neutron star to be crushed.
Tali: "So the Reapers themselves counted 99,999 in their group... The data cores from Harbringer and others prove it."
Legion: "We have checked and re-checked.... Confirmed. Only 99, 998 of the Old Machine shells are present !
Conclusion - we have missed one. One was not present at the final battles."
Tali: "Keelah !" Quick...- We must warn everyone !"
Garrus: [b]"It's not over...."

Humanity becomes Quarian vol.2, conquers all the Batarian worlds, bring civilization to the terminus system and builds a dreadnaught the size of an EvE titan and proceeds to solo the reapers

Thanks for agreeing. It seems that too many gamers nowadays want everything to be easy for them. I actually enjoy a challenge.Medhia Nox wrote...
@jreezy - I absolutely agree with that. There should be a "everyone wins!" ending... but it should be damn hard to achieve (and should have started with choices in ME 1)

It's humorous how many geniuses seem to be on BSN - sad they're spending so much time saving a virtual world instead of doing something relevant in the real one - but, I suppose their genius is of a particular sort (as in, the "not real" sort)
So - everyone wants to "feel good" about their decisions. They want the game to tell them that destroying the Collector Base was "so clever!" or saving the Rachni Queen was "the right thing to do!"
So - games are now designed to pepper your mind with little shots of endorphin or serotonin - and it seems that some people come away thinking that their video game intelligence translates to the real world. They don't seem to want to touch upon the notion that in modern video games everyone wins because that dependence on "feel good" that the games give is not unlike an addiction.

@jreezy - it's easy to understand, the anonymity that technology has provided has made everyone feel entitled - and consider themselves a scientist, a scholar and historian.

So basicly you're saying that people on BSN have no lifes? While this may be true for some as well as some being idiots, this comment has nothing to do with the subject and is kind of degrading. It's a game where people enjory different things than you do. Not everyone wants the same type of ending, but that doesn't mean you should bash them for having a different opinion. Also this whole "New generation being entitled" argument is getting annorying. It's about as annorying as saying console games destroy "true" games or that particular people A on forum B destroyed the game.
In short, Get off your high horse and get back on topic. Anyways having a happy ending I think will be nice but, like others have said, make it hard to do so, though I'm not sure how you would make getting a "happy" ending hard. Give me an ending that feels heroic but not cheesy or overly depressing. But I guess we'll just have to wait for Bioware to release the game to find out what the ending will be(or go on the BSN forums 1-5 days after release).
