There was a bit of this in both games - explosive canisters and stuff in ME2, although that hardly counts for much. At least in ME1 chairs/tables/crates could all go flying in some areas.
It would be great to lift a large plant trough for instance (I know, random example!) and move it to form a new cover, or simply chuck it at some enemies trying to flank you.
But yeah I doubt that sort of thing, and more, would happen.

Unfortunately the one thing which I'd really like to see probably won't be implemented, and that is using biotics to manipulate the environment to defeat enemies, rather than always directly targeting enemies with biotic atacks.

i kind of liked the moving of things too. But in ME1 I actually blocked myself from getting up to Benezia accidently in that fight because I'd worked my way around the battlefield and I had objects end up blocking both stairs and couldn't get them off it so I had to redo the fight.

one of the devs said it was too costly for ME3. they did play test with destructable walls and bridges i guess, which he said was totally ****ing awesome. but itd suck up to much whatever-you-call-its.

can somebody please post the still of the skill tree thing for the adept.
There is no still of that right now. This is the best we've got: http://img42.imagesh...3powerwheel.png
Looks like the powers for adept are (I don't list unity but it's the numbered power on the power wheel image):
- Warp
- Throw
- Singularity
- Overpower
- Pull
- Shockwave
- Biotic Mastery
-*Bonus Power (fortitude in the demos)

hmm. i wonder if bonus powers are going to be better then regular powers again. i wonder if stasis is going to be kept the same. i hope i dont have to mod the game so my adept can use an actual assortment of biotics in ME3.

Was hoping to see Barrier, Stasis and Lift (Orb) return as regular talents.

Disappointed that the skill set of this class (and the rest it seems) is the ME2 set with one extra grenade power or 'boost' power and that we only get one additional bonus power slot.

Yeah. I wonder how they'll handle bonus powers this time around. At any rate, I'd rather have Stasis on my Adepts than the abhorrent Shockwave. If Singularity were faster (in terms of recharge and projectile speed) then I'd be fine losing Pull as well, perhaps in favor of Barrier.

Out of all my playthroughs, I enjoyed the Adept the LEAST. Pretty weak in comparison to the other classes.
A weak class for some is a strong class for those who choose to excel at it.

I did just fine with it, I wrecked everything in my path (on insane). I just feel it is considerably weaker than any other class and is limited.

Hello fellow Adepts !
We've learned recently that all the player character classes will have some kind of heavy melee attack, unique to that class. The limitations on weapon choices have been modified to a degree also.
With these notes in mind, what improvements to Adept game play are you hoping for ?
One of my characters,n the adept, used an AR exclusivley, so it wuld be noce not to have to mod the save in order to play that cahracter correctly!
Also, the concept of biotic melee is fascinating. WIll be fun!. I also hope singularities wil have th epower they did in ME, not the wimpy ME2 version. That was so frustrating. My adept felt so gimped during ME2<_<

I'm looking for more damage potential in biotic powers besides warp. Overpower seems like an awesome ability so that adepts can feel more powerful and not have to rely on their squad to back them up for biotic combos; I haven't really seen it in action yet, but I love the idea of it.
Pretty much this^
The Adept should be able to go through a level without having used there weapon once. In ME2 they needed one, maybe two more powers that were meant for pure murderisation. I mean these are people who can tear dudes apart with there mind! Reave or Dominate would of been perfect, and should not be bonus powers.
I really hope BW nail the Adept proper this time. Dont get me wrong, i only recently completed my first Adept playthrough for ME2 and i loved it! It's definitely the most fun class to play, and a massive improvement over ME, but there are improvements to be made. Give us more powers if we can only have one death dealer.
I also think it's a mistake to let players pick whichever weapons they want for there class, Adepts in particular do'nt need weapons, let alone an AR or Shottie. Thats what makes them so bad-ass!

It is probably the weakest but there are no weak classes, it is a small range of power for the classes. classes like the vanguard have much of what an adept is and then have charge which is vastly superior to singularity, oh and they start with better guns. Adept is the class most effected by the dificutly changes which might not be a balanced approach to game design but I found it fun. Adept is by far my favorite class to play partly due to the changes in game play as you advance in difficutly. For most classes insanity is the same as normal it just takes a couple more bullets. This isn't to say there aren;t tings I want changed on the adept, like game play reasons to take heavy versions of powers, stasis as a core power, faster flight time of projectiles etc.

more mapping keys ( 10 ? )
stasis instead of shockwave... then i'd use ammo as bonus power .

Note: People are different and some people may be better with Adept than some of the other classes. That does not mean that the Adept is better or worse than those classes.
The Adept can be solid, but it's the worst class in the game (Insanity).
My words taken from another thread.
"My problems with the ME2 Adept are as follows.
1) They are the worst class in the game by quite a margin (Hardcore/Insanity)
The three things I look at when ranking a class is killing speed, ease-of-use, and durability. With these factors the Adept is last in durability (Engineer's drone is more reliable than singularity), second the last in ease-of-use (Vanguard is a bit tougher for most), and second to last in killing speed (Engineer is slower).
2) Singularity is the worst class exclusive power.
On lower difficulties, you're better off just using pull field and on higher difficulties it's a worst version of the drone (fewer enemies are immune to the drone then singularity). In a dire situation, the other five powers are just better.
3) They have to rely not just on squadmates more than other classes, they also rely on enemy positioning more than any other class.
Adepts are just on par with other classes only under ideal circumstances. Those circumstances being: multiple enemies grouped together and squadmates with the right powers. Adepts need to know more about the kind of enemy they are facing just to come close to other classes effectiveness.
If I'm using a class that is less durable than other classes and not easy to master, I want to be rewarded with greater killing speed when I play effectively. That's basically it."

ME2 requires a lil more effort and youll definitely need some practice before jumping into insanity with an adept. dont start NG+ and try to go insane, thats just crazy talk
some bottlenecks always feel a little broken no matter what class i use [collector base*] sometimes i grind it out, other times i just turn down the difficulty for a second
i started mass effect with the adept class and its still my favorite but ME2 is definitely a lil skewed towards the weapons even more than mass effect made bein an adept awesome
