The professional reviews of legacy are baffling to me because they talk about DA2 as if it was mediocre or flat out crappy, and yet they gave the game a good review. The whole thing stinks of jumping on the bandwagon.JaegerBane wrote...
I have to admit I was thrown a bit off by the whole review mentality when it comes to DA2. Some magazines practically orgasmed over it without any good reason, yet this DLC, which actually does a lot well, gets bad reviews. Gamepsot's review panned it for things that never even appeared in my playthrough (what was that about the invincible boss?).
Worth picking up Legacy? Reviews please.

Overall it was fun, nice combat, but not much polish which was what made DAO so great. Just to give an idea what I mean, recall how much thought went into writing Queen Anora in DAO. That one character had more believability than the entire legacy dlc.

It's also possible that they simply had to eat crow after they gave those absurd reviews. But yes, I agree with the bandwagon mentality. The whole thing stinks of following the crowd.Atakuma wrote...

Legacy has a fps feel to the story.
What does that even mean? FPS gaming is so broad that generalizing it beyond the fact it's an FPS is just wrong.
Anyway I'd recommend this DLC, more fun than parts of DA2 and lightyears ahead of DAO's DLC.

Legacy has a fps feel to the story. I think they had some people from ME team help them. I didn't like the constant drama, and the story did feel disjointed, out of character, cut in some places, and forced. "The Hawke" this "The Hawke" that... I mean seriously... who is writing this stuff. I don't think the camera angles during dialogue were good either.

....the ****?
I'm not even sure what you mean by that.
I also don't know what you were expecting beyond a serious story. Kittens and rainbows?
