I guess I would skip something but well, now I do realize that two months just won't be enough to prepare for ME3.

DLC is something I'll include in a later thread, along with mini-banners for each entry.spiros9110 wrote...
Oh btw, about the #13 - for people who haven't played the DLC or whatever circumstance. Are you going to add Shadow Broker and Arrival detail?
I'd generally like more feedback on what you'd want.
And, yes, if no one is able to produce a convincing argument on why canon-abiding fan creations are bad, they are staying, end of story, this is not a features thread or a collective list, butthurt-ness alone won't change anything. In general, anything that improves the ME3 preparation experience will be added.

Here's my experience with Revelation:
- Snag a copy on my new Kindle. [smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/cool.png[/smilie]
- Zip through a fun (though standard) action story.
- Reach point where major rescue has taken place. Think "good deal; now we can see how the characters change, become more nuanced, and take on the next obstacle." [smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/smile.png[/smilie]
- Reach point where Kahlee tells Anderson to back off. Think "that was a bit clunky; I hope the next chapter is better." [smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/uncertain.png[/smilie]
- Press the next button to turn page. Realize that I am actually the end.

I'd argue that the story structure is pretty strage for a book too.

Never thought of that. Definitely gets you into the mood.marshalleck wrote...
Well maybe I'm weird but I like to get worked up for a new ME game by watching and reading a bunch of other sci-fi works. Or space documentaries, because I'm a huge nerd like that. For ME2 I watched all of Carl Sagan's Cosmos. Even though the actual science and physics bits are outdated by now, his work tracing how we got to where we are now is fascinating, and his enthusiasm infectious. Worked for me!

Anyway, Mass Effect 3 Preparation Checklist sheet, Right Click>Save Image As> Print

It should fit perfectly with A4 paper.
New OP with banners, DLC and corrections coming soon (tomorrow?)

Thanks, been thinking about reading them for a while and mostly want to make sure that they have some qualities other than being ME novels:PPhaedon wrote...
Well, I'll tell you what I think about them, though you should also hear other people's opinions. Not the "Oh, no they suck!" or "They rock!" type of posts, but you know, opinions backed up with arguments.Meshaber wrote...
How are the novels? Nerdcandy or actually readable litterature?
I really like Drew's writing style. He writes in a way which makes me instantly create scenes in my mind, and not in a few occasions now and then, all the time. The plots themselves are quite interesting, but you can survive playing the games without them. They do provide a great deal of depth and analyze various plotpoints (better than the games can)
What I dislike are the characters. The main 4 characters which are reapper in most novels are Anderson, Kahlee Sanders, Paul Grayson and TIM. TIM is not deep. At all. The rest, eh, they are OK, I suppose, they are average Joes and Janes for the most part, so you won't be in love with them, but the character development is pretty basic.
If you want my opinion, read one of them, and you'll decide if you like or not the others (other than Deception which is written by a different writer), I say that they are worth it.

I doubt we'll see fanfic on the OP any time soon.Luke Bioware wrote...
Why don't you just put fan creations under a seperate heading? I was like: what the heck?! Chronicles?! I thought I knew all of it. (I personally don't really care about fanfic either.)
Doors definitely helped me have a different experience on my older ME2 playthrough, since a lot of character development behind Jack is romance only.
I'll definitely add a seperate note, but a seperate heading? Not really, these stories generally fall under the timeline, no need to mess the order up.

Zulu Protocol - the Ultimate Guide to what's really happening in the Mass Effect universe.
and
DOOM3, the videogame about Zaeed cleaning up the Prothean site on Mars - two years prior to the official announcement of its discovery!
Anyway, for the love of Mickey Mouse, correct your #12 entry. It's supposed to spell "Redemption" and be put between Ascension and Galaxy in the timeline.

Kasumi, Lair of the Shadowbroker?
Also, what is this business about weapons from ME2 transferring to ME3?
Because I chose the Revenant on some of my playthroughs and the Mattock has pretty much made that weapon obsolete for my style of play.

I like the fan creations being put in there, at the very least they offer more of the Mass Effect universe if people so want it.
