The Helm of Weisshaupt should be the Helm of the Fortress, which is found after you complete the power nexus puzzle (occurs when you don't help Janeka). There are a few threads about the puzzle itself. Once you solve it, you should be able to access some rooms in the top right area of the level map. The Helm is in there.

Hope this helps.

EDIT: Had to double-check. Equipped, the helm shows as Helm of the Fortress but when acquired, it gives the Helm of Weisshaupt codex entry. Hopefully I got that right. Posted Image

I helped Janeka, and I got it. It was through a red door, as the poster above said, top right corner of the map.

How do you get through the door if siding with janeka? The puzzle is different.

After 2 runthroughs with Larius as initial pick I did a Janeka run through last night, her puzzle is way more all over the place I feel than the Larius one. Although kind of similar in that you have to click on nodes.

Basically you get her to fire her staff at the power nexus nodes in various rooms, these cause the coloured doors to unlock some of which are just covering cells (like the ones the 3 demons were held in) which have other nodes in them. I kind of got a bit lost in what I was doing so I don't know if there is an exact formula to it but I found the Larius one more fun to do with regards aligning the pillars correctly.

Oh and the helm/outfit has a different name for each class, Warrior is Fortress, Rogue is Scout and Mage is Silent but the helm is referred to in the codex as Helm of Weisshaupt for all of them. So basically the Warden Commander it was referring to just by chance happens to be the same class your Hawke is

when side with the mage chick, do you have to hit all the green lamps?  or is there a certain order?  I have seen the room with the red, but cannot get into it.

Edit: Found the switch 2 min after posting.

Alright i have been looking EVERYWHERE for a solution to the stupid barriers that block your path to the helm of weisshaupt. How do you solve it? Yes i know it involves using the power nexus thingies, and i have used them in the correct order but nothing ever happens, and i can never get throught the stupid barriers. Is there a certain trick i'm missing? Do you have to do something before you activate any of the nexus's? Is it a bug for the xbox 360 that has yet to be fixed?

EDIT: Ok so i just realized that there is some kind of bug on the xbox 360 version that if you side with Larius first that the power nexus' wont unlock the barriers to the room containing the helm. My solution is to side with Janeka to get the helm from the barrier puzzle thing and then (if you want to) betray her and side with Larius. That's my opinion on the matter.

(I really don't know if it's a bug, but it sure acts like one and it always happens when i side with Larius at first)

Please somebody answer this question. This stupid bloody puzzle is really infuriating me and I'm going to have to cheat to get it otherwise.

Edit: I finally got it, but not sure of the exact formula.

Deactivating a node deactivates the nearest same colour barrier, so you make your way to the end doing that then when the last green node is deactivated and backtrack to the northern entrances and then figure out the nearest one to deactivate.

...You have to go back to the room with the rotating torches and re-align them.   Activating the three nodes can be done in any order, they're just powering up the torches.

the real answer is when u think you have completed the torch alignment part you really haven't you have to go back after you have activated the colored torches and align the puzzle again according to fluidity of said colors one at a time bottom up, you get a bunch of xp too so it is worth doing, also the helmet looks really cool.

Again, this is the puzzle you must solve if you sided with Larius.  Everyone who is having trouble on this particular forum sided with Janeka, so that link is completely unhelpful.  The puzzle is completely different when it comes to unlocking the barriers in the north-eastern corner of the floor.

I'm currently having trouble myself, and I have also looked everywhere and found no solution to the puzzle.

If I figure it out by random I will try and retrace my steps and post them for your guys here.

Okay. So I got through all the power nexus barriers. I really think the best way to help other people out is if somebody can just post a walk through of this one section on youtube. There are videos for people who side with Larius and end up on Riannon's Floor, but I haven't found any for when you side with Janeka and end up on Daneken's Floor. Unfortunately I do not have the equipment to do this myself, as I play on Xbox and not on a PC.

I will do my best to sum up what I had to do to unlock the various color power nexuses.

1. When you first enter Daneken's Floor, you will have to activate the blue power nexus's first. I think there are only two, so this part was fairly simple to get through.

2. The next set of power nexus's you will have to activate are the green ones. This is where I got stuck initially. As you activate one nexus, it will unlock certain areas that were barred by that color. It also activates new barriers, so you kind of just have to play around with them. There are a couple of times you will see an orange or a red power nexus that is barred by a green (or other colored barrier). That random colored barrier is the one you need to get to in order to deactivate the next set of colored barriers. You often have to go one or two rooms ahead in order to get to the specific power nexus that will open that nexus's colored barrier to get to the new color.
2.B. If you unlock the orange barrier that leads down towards the three golemns you have to fight in order to proceed to the final tower level of Legacy, then you need to reactivate it so that orange barrier blocks you from proceeding. I believe it's a red power nexus you have to activate that is behind another green barrier that will let you proceed towards the blocked off rooms with the Helm.

3. The next set of barriers are red. This section of rooms is similar to the rooms with all the green power nexuses. You will find the room with the chest that contains the helm is barred by another orange barrier. Again, the orange power nexus is barred by a red barrier in probably the first room you encounter the red power nexuses. Just play around with it, it'll require some minor back tracking, but you should eventually figure it out. It just takes a little longer.

After you have the helm you travel back towards the other orange barrier that leads towards the gollemns, and there's more green power nexuses you have to play around with. I found Daneken's floor to be the most annoying of all the floors in Legacy, because it really doesn't seem like there's any rhyme or reason to the various barriers you have to unlock. There is. It's just very convoluted.

Again, I know that description is a little confusing. Hopefully it still helps you guys a little bit.

On another note, after all the time I spent figuring out how to get to the helm, and fighting Corypheus ... my stupid Xbox pulled a "disk read error" message after I finished off Corypheus. Rawr!

I just did it, I had to draw my own map indicating what torch disabled what barrier. Then when you get to the red ones I didn't have to draw anymore.
