Alright hear me out. So I LOVEEEED ME1, ME2 and DA:O they are easily some of the best games I've ever played and I think I can say with confidence they easily had the best stories of any games I've played. But they also had great combat IMO. Very different from each other, but both great.

Thing is, I got KOTOR after playing these games and I just couldn't get past the combat. I only played like an hour or so of KOTOR. It just felt retarded. I just stood there with the guy you start the game with and watched while we exchanged fire with the Sith dudes or whoever they were.

Does it improve?

Even if it's got an amazing story which everyone says it does the combat just felt soooooo weak compared to the ME series and DA:O.

Well, they've had 10 years of experience with that kind of combat system between KOTOR and DA:O. So it is to be expected that going backwards might be disappointing.

Now, later in the game you will get all kinds of new moves and be surrounded by many different types of enemies. This will add to the pace and require better strategies. Furthermore, the additional companions you bring with you adds all those factors again for themselves.

Don't worry, it does get more exciting, and just saying that the story is amazing does it no justice. This is the best game ever. Period.

Well of course you're gonna hate the combat if you're comparing it to Mass Effect and Dragon Age. Just go dark side, Force Lightning will make it all better.
