Hi Guys

I bought Dragon Age Origins way when it first came out and I currently started replaying it after a few friends got into it as well. I haven't used any patches on it.

I bought the Dragon Age Origins: Ultimate Edition with Awakening and the DLC which I have heard good things about just yesterday.

I have the old Origins installed on my computer however. I am currently in the middle of a play through.

Can I use my DAO:UE disk for the old install and keep playing + use the extra''s disk or am I going to have to back up my save files, uninstall the old version of DAO and then reinstall with the new disk and then use the disk with the expansion pack for the additional content + Awakening?

No. You will need to uninstall and then install the UE. You can save your characters, though, so you won't lose any of your progress. You will be asked during the uninstall if you want to save your characters. If you have override mods installed, simply save a copy of your override folder to put back afterthe reinstall. Trying to install UE over DAO causes serious issues.

Hi

Thank your letting me know. Uninstall old DAO and reinstall UE it is!
Where is the over ride folder located? I just have the Chest Bash mod and Unlock Specializations mod.

I *think* both of those are dazips and so will need to be re-downloaded and reinstalled. Your override folder is at Documents\\BioWare\\DragonAge\\packages\\core\\override, but if they are dazips they won't be there.

That's fine, they are DAzips so still have them saved somewhere, that's no issue at all .
Thanks for all your help!

EDIT: Uninstalled and installed UE. Yay!
