I'm planning on a dwarf noble warrior.  The thing is, I'm not planning on being the tank; I don't trust the AI to behave, so I'd rather kill things :P

So with that in mind, what would be the best way to go?

Sword./Shield, Dual Wielding, or Two Handers?

Also, I hear as a dwarf noble you still lose everything you own at the end of the origin, right?  In that case, anything you get during the origin is completely pointless, isn't it?

No comment on Dwarf Origin (Hate Dwarves. Avoided them like the plague so far).

Two handers have their disadvantages, as I hear it. They hit for less damage. What they're good for, as far as I can tell, is that they're better for sustained damage against CCers. They're much harder to knock down/stun, thanks to Indomitable. Whereas my DW Warrior (DWarrior :P ) tends to slaughter everything, as long as he keeps his feet.

Dwarf Noble origin is my favorite by far, I wont go into details about it in the non-spoiler forum though.

I have tried all three types of warrior and personally prefer the DW style for straight damage, but all types have thier uses. 2hers with indomitable are great, especially against mobs with takedown.

I was going to have my 2nd playthrough be dual wield swords with 5-6 points in archery

Dex + Str attributes

whatever I spec, i'll have archery mastery with rapid fire, it's solid ranged damage for some bosses where hitting a moving target isn't efficient, or they have a bad aura to stay out of

DW for straight DPS, Sword and shield for tankage. 2hnders have somewhat lackluster DPS, but on the other hand, they dont have the crazy Dex req that DW does. Which means they can get more str early in the game to use the better armors. They also have things like Indomitable which is quite nice.
Overall though, I would go with DW. The "end-game" level 20ish character you get is simply superior for DPS.
Pretty much you want 36 Dex (Keep it down to 33-34 until you pass the Tower of Magi so you dont spend extra points)
Then sink most of your remaining points into Str, maybe building willpower up to 22ish and con up to 16-18ish.

To answer your question of all your stuffs disappearing. Yes, it will, but this is a bug. The current workaround (or at least the one I used at launch) is to:

(1) save the game
(2) exit the game
(3) disable all of the DLC content
(4) re-enter the game
(5) save the game again
(6) exit the game
(7) re-enable all of the content
(8) load the game from the save - should have all of your equipment back!

**edit to fix the steps**

I'm a Dwarf Noble warrior Two Handed and i am loving it so far, with my items i am already at 52 strength, wearing the blood dragon Armour with Star Fang as my sword and i'm only at level 10 and all i have completed are some side quests, and the shale and Wardens Keep quests, havin a blast with my two hander, definitely will try a duel wielder next though, i want to make an elf, duel wielder Rougue/Ranger/Duelist ala drizzt, and then a Human Assasin/Duelist ala Artemis entreri.

Dual Wielding + Momentum, I love it.
