Well there is a story, it just poorly written and criminalizes Batarians.  I would like a some dialogue with a Batarian on why he/she resents humanity so in me3.

Well there is a story, it just poorly written and criminalizes Batarians.  I would like a some dialogue with a Batarian on why he/she resents humanity so in me3.

I'm not sure what other reason there could be than "you took planets which were ours even though we didn't actually have any colonies or installations on them, or any immediate plans for the future!"

Every good story about galactic extinction needs its scapegoats, and batarians drew b***h duty this time around

Hmm...if they lose the skin flaps around the mouth and smooth out certain features, a female batarian could be pretty sexy. Think about it. The easiest way to get players to love a species is to give them a character that their Shepards can do the horizontal bop with.

The merchant was kind of a dick and you never see or meet Garrus's pet batarian.

Well, the one who runs a shop on Omega isn't so bad.  Plus the two Blue Suns mercs you talk to during the Garrus recruitment mission (the one who drives you to the site and the mechanic) seem helpful if only for practical reasons.  Also, the one you can save during the Mordin recruitment mission is an ignorant bigot at first but wises up after you help him.  They're about the only ones who I can think of that I didn't shoot... Though I did stab the mechanic in the back.  Ah well....

Every batarian I have to talk to, I act all Paragon to. Then they go home and hopefully one of the following two things happen:

1. They tell every batarian they know that I'm pretty great and they get mauled for treason.

2. They tell every batarian they know that I'm pretty great and it lures the whole race into a false sense of security about my motives so that when I blow up the Bahak system, it makes them cry even harder.

I like them ...any one who doesn't like them has either been sheltered their entire lives, or they just don't understand the real world. What Humanity did to them is akin to what the White Man did to the natives of North America. The Batarians did what they thought suited them the best, and that was declaring Humanity public enemy number 1. Only downside about them is their slavery. Other than that Batarians deserve more of a chance to live than the parasitic Quarians who strip star system after system just to sustain their un important and un needed population that serve no major nor minor role in the galactic stage.
