Played through Legacy the other day, but while playing I noticed a hallway next to the Altar of Dumat which was blocked off by a blue shield, preventing me from going down the hallway. Its on the Tower Base level. I missed the secret boss fight with Malekith on my first playthrough, so before I start my second I wanted to see if anyone else knew about the room, and more importantly how to get in.
I've been searching the online walkthroughs/guides, but can't find the answer in any of the ones I've looked at.

Best asked in the spoiler section, I think. However, I remember having seen a Bioware dev. saying that you'll need to connect some -ahem- cables to get in. If you get the first cable connected correctly, the rest of the puzzle should be solved rather easily.
