Here are the upgrades:
The first seal - located in Corypheus's Prison - Sashamiri's Floor - gives:

Electricity Damage: +X electricity damage
Nature Damage: +X nature damage
Fire Damage: +X fire damage
Cold Damage: +X cold damage
The second seal gives:
Armour Penetration: Attacks ignore enemy armor
Mana/Stamina Drain: X% chance to regenerate Y% Mana/Stamina
Health Drain: X% chance to regenerate Y% health
Attack Speed: +X% attack speed
The third seal gives:
Stun Chance: X% chance to stun
Speed Reduction: X% chance to reduce enemy movement and attack speed
Critical Chance: X% critical chance
Critical Damage: X% critical damage

Which ones should I choose? (By the way, which is better/cooler, fire or electricity damage?)

Plus, if Carver and Bethany are Wardens/Templar/Circle Mage, and you play during Act 3 when they not accessible (before the end of the game), who will you talk to in the end of the DLC (besides Leandra)?

@JFarr:

The +dmg is pretty arbitrary. You face a lot of darkspawn in Legacy so nature damage is probably the best choice, but it won't make much difference either way. The second choice is an absolute no-brainer for anyone not a mage; armor pen is so far beyond any other benefit it's just sad. It's absolutely useless for a mage, though, so I'd go with "chance to regen" whichever you're casting from (health if you're a bloodmage, mana otherwise). It's not great but the miniscule speed bonus is worse. Third seal, again, the numbers on the chance/damage increases are so low they're not really worth it, so I'd go with stun chance. A rogue might prefer the crit damage boost though.

Carver and Bethany, if alive, will always be available to you during the DLC and will converse with you at the end. If everyone's dead you get Gamlen.

So if I play during Act 3, but haven't gotten to the final battle against Mereidth yet, and Carver was made a Warden in Act 1, he will still be available?

Just be glad you're playing a mage. The Hawke's Key 2-handed sword is hideous.

Has it been explained any where why the Key wasn't a level up item? I read that it was planned to be a level up item here on the forums somewhere. Luke or someone can you find out for us please.

Hi everyone!

I got a problem.
I bought Dragon age 2 Legacy DLC. And I have installed it and my game is also patched to 1.03.
Now it just happens that Legacy does appear in the DLC list at the menu. But I cannot start it nowhere. in-game. ( I know I have to start it at the memento in my house but it isn't there )

anyone can help ? Thanks.

The DLC happens before the END game, so the items can't be BETTER that the END game gear.

I was not very impressed with Hawke's Key, I kind of thought it was a little over done, the staff wasn't bad but none of the weapons held up to the weapons in the class specific DLC packages.  Basically if you get the DLC package for the class specific weapons, armor and trinkets then nothing in the game is worth keeping till you get the Champion armor and besides all the armor in the game is ugly.  The armor and weapons from the class specific DLC were pretty good except the last warrior armor, it was terrible, not even close to being realistic and the first weapon you get looks like a really big steak knife.  I'm sorry but who ever designs the weapons and armor really needs to find another line of work because most of the designs are terrible, I mean whats with all the armor having some weird piece of metal sticking out of your chest, it just looks stupid.  I hope the armor and weapons designs for DA3 are better.  And Rogue armor should not have plate or chain pieces on it, kind of hard to believe that they can be stealthy with armor rattling around, they should have only leather and it should be black or brown.  And most of the mage robes are horrid, so bland, the mage armor from the DLC was really kool, would like to see more designs like that.

im a electricity man myself^_^ but i suggest going with what you think, i suggest saving befor getting one of them and see for yourself

also what are the best upgrades(if anything its probably going to be depending upon the class) cause to me alot of it is just jibberish to me and will pick any of them at random

That is an incerdibly dumb-looking sword.  How heavy would that thing be?

Wow.  I thought Hayder's Razor looked absurd, but this is vastly worse.

If Carver is still not available to be in your party in the game, like he was made a Warden, where will he be during Legacy?

He's available.  He's magically and inexplicably available in a way that makes zero sense within DA2's broader narrative.

You can take Carver with you in Legacy even if you do it right at the start of Act II when you haven't seen Carver in years.  And then, suddenly, there he is.

If there is a rune slot on each type of weapon. that would be awesome. But sadly.. no

Does the staff automatically do electricity damage when you get it?

My personal theory is that the weapon is either completely or partially hollow, with some parts being filled with a cement core if just partially.

I was surprised that my Hawke's attack speed didn't revert to the 2H attack speed of Origins actually...

On a more serious note; none of the Hawke body models look like they're capable of safely wielding swords close to this, and many of the 2H weapons. Their abdominal structures seem like they could stand to be...bulkier. :/

All the weapons minus the staves all look like crap in the DA games. Oversized and poorly textured makes for extremely goofy looking weapons.
