Played through Legacy the other day, but while playing I noticed a hallway next to the Altar of Dumat which was blocked off by a blue shield, preventing me from going down the hallway. Its on the Tower Base level, as I said just next to the Altar of Dumat (to the right, I believe, when facing the room with the Altar). I missed the secret boss fight with Malekith on my first playthrough, so before I start my second I wanted to see if anyone else knew about the room, and more importantly how to get in.
I've been searching the online walkthroughs/guides, but can't find the answer in any of the ones I've looked at.

You'll see some of those censer looking things on the walls around that map that you can click, (there's three in total) once you click those back in the original room where you crossed the beams of light there'll be three more to do. Cross them all (think I was lucky but I crossed them all very easily not sure if its possible to mess it up to the point of some being broken) and the coloured shields will disappear with the corresponding light beam.

Am confused... from the description the OP gives it doesn't sound like the power nexus thing. Because he's said to the right of the Altar of Dumat. The only thing to the right of that is that walkway which leads to the room with the 6 torches and coffin.

The Nexus puzzle becomes easy if - Solution ahead. Don't read it if you want to solve it yourself - you align the blue streams first. It automatically aligns the green stream as well. Afterwards, you just need to rotate a few columns to redirect the red streams, and voila! The puzzled is solved. 
PS. As said by Sir Ulrich, this shouldn't be the puzzle the OP is talking about. The Altar and the NExus wards are on different levels.

I may be remembering wrong, but I was pretty sure it was next to the Altar. I'll replay it this weekend using your suggestions and see if I can't figure it out. Sorry if I confused anyone.
