Hello,

I was going to play test a bit of one of my modules and to keep myself amused wanted to do it with an NPC from my other module as my PC. I exported her from the toolset and stuck her in the local folder alongside all my other "heroes" but nothing happened. I think it's something to do with her being an erf and the others are bics. Now I'm no computer expert and haven't got a clue about changing files so if possible could somebody please point me in the right direction as the idea of seeing her batter a few new baddies is rather appealing.. Thank you.

Tsongo.

Use the client extender ( by skywing ) is only option that i know of. It can take a targeted object and save it as a bic file. Note that it just does it as is, does not mean it's playable. I did a chicken and it was not pretty.

You'd have to look at how to do it, it might be complicated and require logging into the module with the dm client. The instructions should come with the client extender.

Thank you very much, I'm tracking it down now. If it's all too complicated I'll just make a new PC and bring in stats and gear with the console.

You can use GFFEditor or LETO to copy the values from the erf into a bic character file. I recommend LETO if you can figure out how to use it - it's much more powerful.

I've got confused trying to work out which file to download from the client extender so there's not much hope with LETO by the sound of it ! However I'm going to have a look and see what they are just in case I have a brain storm.. Thank you

I posted this once and it's still true:

Oh, and you can change your main character completely if you need to do that in the future. You just need the proper tools. I've posted the method several times, both here and on the old Forum. Googling "nwn2 i_raps leto" should find the posts.

[edit] I just did a quick check. The search string does work. I'm Immortal! Image IPB

Here's a summary (be sure to read the bottom where I corrected some typos).

Thank you very much.. I've done it using the gff editor on a PC I made that was near enough the same but has now been "tweaked" to make her exactly like my original NPC and is going to tear into some goblins very soon which should be amusing. It's about time she came out of retirement !
