about what? turning into a bird?  well, because Morrigan was there. Because she saw the view of the battlefield. Because in order for her to have a good view of the battlefield, she would've had to have been flying overhead if she was going to reach the tower in time.

Morrigan never said she was at the tower.
She doesn't need to fly overhead, the battle was visible from Ostagar proper or near it, because the battle was in a valley. You just need to look down.

Pointless speculation in any case and besides the point.

For myself, the changes to Flemeth's look were ok. My only pet peeve about it is that the voice was unchanged despite the reworking of her physical form. This makes little sense from a biological POV. The sound of a person's voice is a function of the structure of the physical vocal apparatus after all.

Which means that either Flemeth cannot change the sound of her voice (unlikely, or at least, not mentioned previously) or that she deliberately chose to maintain the same 'old lady' voice as for her DAO form which seems incongruous with the rationale that she was deliberately revealing a defifferent aspect of her personality.

I love Kate Mulgrew's VA, but if a 'sexier' body was the order of the day, wouldn't you want a similarly 'sexier' voice to go with it?

So, in the absence of other information, I think it's just another example of unsupported retconning resulting from the wholesale changeover to the new art-style, just like the UI, the environments, the qunari, the elves, and the darkspawn. In Flemeth's case, and the qunari, I think the new look is superior. But I still think it was a case of 'fixing' what wasn't broken. Overall it's a net loss IMO.

Hey guys- Just so you know, David Gaider sent me a PM saying that he thinks the thread has moved on to "What I don't like about DA2" so anymore dev posts in here is unlikely.

Just thought I'd bring that up. Sucks, but it is what it is.

Yeah well thats been obvious for more than a couple of days now.

I read the thread from the beginning, and  that's exactly the same as I already read. Some People who show their feelings, others who ask questions, others who say what they didn'tt like and what they would like to see changed next time.

Rather than complain, they should tell us what they are interested in discussing and what they see as already acquired to repair. Apart from four areas, I saw nothing that suggested that they will working on other things.

Well, I did get a lovely PM from a different DA developer telling me he(as in, the one sending me the PM) read my long-winded post on page 41.

I imagine he read everyone else's too, though I'm not sure.

By the way Mr. Mystery Developer I Won't Divulge The Name Of Because I Want People To Be Interested And Intrigued By Your Secret Identity-

Thanks, again. Glad to know my thoughts have entered the mind of someone directly responsible for affecting the game. Now all I have to do is hope.

Damn you, I am now both interested and intigued :)

Edit: Plus i totally agree with your long winded post on page 41, and just to add if anyone from BW is still reading this thread i prefered the music in DA:O, i didnt hate DA2's music by any means, just liked Origins' better, thats something that hasn't been mentioned too much and just to add that it isnt meant in a let's hate DA2 way either.

I find the response of Mr Gaider, anything but an attempt to lead people to the right road. I would have preferred him to intervene to tell us specifically what areas interested them rather than swinging a sentence that gives me anything but want to continue to participate.

This topic discusses so many things. I saw lots of people offer, and say quietly that they did not like and what they would like to see changed.

I have not seen many trolls, who said DA2 SUCKS. Yes DA2 has many problems. Is it so hard to assume ?
I still do not know what they want people to talk other that tings that bothered them. I think that many things were discussed, apart from the story of the conversation.

Now I wait to know what they want us to talk as they are not interested.

So I was right. (When I predicted that this thread was turning into another "Let's bash DAII" thread.) Damn it, I usually love it when I'm right. Not this time.:crying:

I'll keep this thread going with this-

Hopping on what someone said a few pages ago, DAO and DA2 are Night and Day.

Personally, I prefer DAO, the "night" in this situation.

I really wish the games weren't so different. I'm...

...fearful. For where the series is going.

I heard all the talk about "Return to classic style RPG" stuff before DAO was out, and DA2 is SO not in that direction.

Its this huge swerve I'm not agreeing with. Its almost like you're at a horse race, the race starts, and 20 yards in the horses turn around and gallop in the opposite direction.

I can't grasp it. If I want a stylized RPG/Action Adventure styled game I'll play the Fable franchise because that's what its supposed to be.

If I want a hardcore PC-style RPG on a console, I'll play the Dragon Age fra.....well, Origins I guess.

The franchise is split in two. No idea where its headed because there's no consistency in my opinion.

The change was too soon, I'll always back that up. DA4 or DA5 being like this I'd understand, but DA2?

DAMN IT, I'M GONNA PLAY ORIGINS RIGHT NOW.

I really hoped you were wrong, but it seems your opinion of the thread's direction was shared by some.

Still, fear not. If my post on page 41 was read by a dev, and he personally took the time out to tell me he read it(because he read my comment on the last page that my post on 41 was I guess for the fans and not the devs since they're likely to stop commenting here), it tells me that at least he is still reading the thread.

Hell, he may even continue commenting. I'll hope for the best.

Fact of the matter is simple- We have to appreciate these guys for taking time out to talk us AT ALL.

Very true. I'm definitely not giving up on this thread. One of the BEST I ever encountered on BSN. I'm off to play DAII, still need to beat Legacy in Act I with brother dearest. <3

They still read the threads, even if they don't comment. Mr. Epler has said several times that they process all feedback.

What a dev puts in a PM to a forumite isn't really fair fodder for complaint IMO. It's called private messaging for a reason. I think it's poor form to repost it publicly unless permission to do so was elicited.

Of course. Its just that there's an undeniable feeling of, "Oh, the devs stopped commenting on these posts, maybe mine will be overlooked"

I know I'm not the only one who's ever felt that way. I've been on Bioware forums for YEARS. Everyone goes through that feeling at some point.

I've been on these forums for years, they've taught me well.

Hell, if it wasn't for the devs interacting with me, I probably wouldn't of had the confidence to get the ball rolling with Tali being a ME2 romance option a few years ago.

And we saw where that went. COMPLETELY OUT OF CONTROL. ahahahahaha

I am no longer a young padawan.

Is it bad I feel this way a lot? Because I think some of the things I've suggested have been pretty good ideas, but I feel as if only the fans are really looking at it.
