And for the record, I would laugh my pants off if at the talimancer rage that would flood the forums. I love tali as a character, but she is an alien. I want her to be ugly just to stick it to all of the xenophiles out there.

I'm of the opinion that, even if she's pretty as a princess, schism amongst their ranks is practically inevitable. Which, arguably, would be even more entertaining.

Tali's look has long been established.  (paraphrashing from something Hudson said at Comic-Con)  It is what it is.  It can't be "screwed up" because it doesn't fit in with someone's fantasy.  

The more I think I think about it, I would love to see the rage of people realizing they'd romanced a complete beast all this time

Its a rather complicated issue for something so simple.

Hell there are even factions within factions within faction here.

Do you want to see Tali's face? Yes or no.

If so should she look alien or human?

If human how should she look?

What kind of alien?

Should she have hair?

Should bioware troll and give her an alien vs predator style face?

Everyone is divided on all of these issues and more.

Are you sure a 600-page thread every few days until the whole setting is forgotten and outdated (or her face is finally revealed) can be classified as "saving a tad bit of trouble"?

Damn it, BioWare, just let the fans vote or something like you did with femShep. If no vote, post several concepts for the quarians and judge the reactions to them, telling no one which you actually choose. No spoilers and you'll already know what fans will think. We also get to see what the quarians will possibly look like. Win, win, win.

I wouldn't mind, and this has been brought up in the Tali thread many times. Its general consensus that it doesn't matter if Tali is ugly, her face isn't the reason we like her.

Although there will always be those to complain. This is the BSN after all.

I think BioWare will do just fine. The only thing I hope is that they do not make her too human. She can be alien and attractive, you know, and not in the Asari way.

What a delightful and completely unexpected thread. :-P

Having said that, it's been made pretty obvious that BW is trying to be very delicate(and for good reason) in deciding

1) Whether or not to reveal it at all, and
2) What facial structure she'll be given if revealed at all.

As I said when the GI article thread popped up, I'm indifferent to her face - with tali, it's always been about personality. I've been staring at a purple gas mask and scarfy-thing for years, and it hasn't bugged me thus far. It would be much like the reveal of Kenny's face in the south park movie. More of a "Oh. Well, there you go." moment.
