I already like her because of her personality and the way the rest of her body looks, seeing what she looks like isn't going to change that.  And it's a shame that it would for others.

Something tells me people will complain either way, so why bother?

All they need to do is give it some consistency with that silhouette shown behind her mas, and that's it

But then there's people who, like me, would complain if they don't show her face at all.

No
matter what, someone somewhere is going to complain.  So, they might as
well just show us what she looks like behind the mask.

Bioware can't screw up Tali's appearance. She looks however they wanted her to look because she's their character.

If that look doesn't match how you see her, or doesn't fit with your definition of "beauty" or "attractiveness" that's tough. She's their character, conceptualized the way they define.

There's no screwing up on their end.

Um. No.  You're confusing the fact that they have the right to do what they wish with their character with the notion that whatever they do with that character is right.

And you can't tell us how we feel about the situation.  To me, those are both one and the same even if they aren't to you.

High Five!

I
hope they take this into consideration and do show her face and give us
waht they say she looks like and not what they think we want her to
look like.

Well we know Tali has lips... so that's the important thing.

Personally, she could be anthropomorphic with scales and/or a beak and what not for all I care.   Again, I just want to see her face.

Tali's a dude with voice changer in his outfit.

That would be more interesting or if more ressembled a bug where what you saw in the mask was not reflection of whats inside but a hologram of seeing what you want to see dependant on race. So when garrus looks into visor he sees a turian when shepard does she looks human etc, but when unmasked she like gruesome horrible 8 eyed bug monster covered in slime. Prime example vorlons in babylon 5 each race on the station saw what they wanted to see unique to each race when Kosh came out of his/her suit to save the commander. Prime example vorlons in babylon 5 each race on the station saw what they wanted to see (versions of angels different for each race which matched their own species) unique to each race when Kosh came out of his/her suit to save the commander.

Now that is what I want to happen because I find it amusing people drooling over something they can't see and expecting something which turns out completley different. That would entertain me personally.

Too contrived, don't you think? Anyway, why would a human want to see an human-like appareance. In front of someone unknown you'd prefer to get to know their true nature, so that you cannot be deceived. Even if this were to be true, nothing stops them from stopping using the holo when they take their helmets off. =/

I know..a shocking revelation to you! :wizard:

So you admit that you're just a trolling little ass-hat?

That's good. One step towards improvement.

Go smash your head into a wall for several hours.

That would be an improvent for you..and the world.B)

Personally I would hate it far more if turned out to be the pamala anderson or some supermodel or beauty queen of a species that pandered to LIs. The holographic projection of whats inside visor is part ofhelemt so obviously when take off they it would have effect of not using hologram so tbh your last comment didnt make sense to me. The visor and helmet is what shows holographic projection without it there is no hologram.

Is that another one of your "logical" assumptions?

Avoiding any advice from you would be doing the universe and its brethren a favor.

I don't even understand the concept of "screwing up Tali's appearance". We don't know what she looks like, and she's their character. Whatever they decide is right by default. The fact that you may not like it is a different issue altogether.

Who am I to talk? My favourite LI is Garrus.

Personally, while I'd like the idea of seeing her face, I think the best idea is to show a different Quarian's face. That way, you get the general idea of what they look like, but Tali could still be different.

Corrected a typo in the last sentence of my previous message.

Anyway, they don't have to necessarily make her a beauty, something in the middle might suffice, like the drell, for example. Not too pretty, but still 'exotic' enough to seem alien. Plus, they cannot be insects, females have ******, meaning they're mammals... although I'd lol if Tali was to be some kind of flurry creature. HA!.

The alternative is painful but quick. The lack of reveal response is indefinitely long. Threads like this appearing here every couple of weeks or so are the proof.

To my way of thinking, the "prettier" she is, the more BioWare has "screwed up her appearance". Seriously, if she looks like the very humanized fan art I've seen, I will be rather displeased. I think quarians should have an alien look about them. We've already got one alien race that looks just like humans.

Quarians, if anything, should resemble turians more than humans, perhaps close to what a turian would look like if they didn't grow those bony plates. Turians seem to be the most closely related species to quarians, though quarians have a more mammalian look that the avian/reptilian turians do. So quarians should look like the "evolutionary next step" of the turians.

You realize that makes no sense right? Humans and Krogan share the same amino acids yet they look nothing like eachother.   According to the books and what we know in game, they in fact do look rather human. Please stop assuming things and actually start THINKING for once.

Seriously.. Some of you guys who desire to see an ugly Tali just to see the Talimancers nerd rage is unfathomable. That way of thinking is immature and has no long term beneficial value at all. You'll only get temporary satisfaction at seeing another person on the internet go nuts about her face. HA! You guys are funny.. /sarcasm

By the way, I'm a Liara fan. Just to put it out there just in case anyone who finds my post to portray me as a Talimancer.

I don't get this for something to be more "evolved" they have to be streamlined, cuz thats what turians would look like without their fringes. Your judging two completely different species. Just cuz they share the same DNA type does not mean they have a relation to each other. I mean they only evolved on two completely different planets.

I'm not, actually. Right is subjective. What one person considers 'right' is going to be different to what someone else considers 'right'.

Bioware designed the character. However she'll end up looking and whether we even get to see what she looks like from a gaming perspective will be determined by them. They'll design her the way they want. Anyone else coming along later and saying what they did was 'wrong' is just putting a subjective value judgement on it.

she can't be ugly... they know that if she is, we will be mad agains't them.

Anyway... Tali is already a deep complex and charismatic character, and a lot of people likes her. we didn't even saw her goddamn face ! Tali can't be ruined, whatever she looks like, she'll be out little Tali of us.
