New quote from Casey on Cerberus and the Reapers

"And there's something between them and Cerberus, the organization that The Illusive Man runs. That's part of what you need to figure out is: why does Cerberus almost appear to be working with the Reapers?"
That bolded part is interesting. Far more ambiguous than the straightforward, declarative "Cerberus is now working for the Reapers in ME3" type stuff we've gotten from other sources so far.

If we think of the first three ME games as a prequel, a possible greater enemy (bigger than reapers) glooming over us in secret would explain a possible cause for Cerberus making even more absurdities, and why the reapers need to harvers intelligent species every 50.00 years, perhaps they use the "fuel" they get as supply for their bigger war against these unknown demigods.

hmm, maybe the Cerberus and reapers only prepare the storyline for ME4?

that would be too much, although awesomely interesting in fighting demigods but way too much

Mac Walters essentially confirmed that TIM is acting alone in that other interview, so that's not that surprising.
Wait,what? what interview?

There is no ME4. Whenever there is another Mass Effect game the title shouldn't even be followed by a numerical value. A subtitle would work though so it appears seperate from the Mass Effect trilogy.joriandrake wrote...

Then why the hell are they attacking Shepard? If anything, they should help Shep get rid of those ugly husk things.
I think that falls under the whole "appear to be" thing. Kinda hard to keep up that appearance if you just behave like an enemy and start shooting the husks or whatever.

I would say the same about Dragon Age 2 or Fallout 3 or HoMM 4 for various reasons
However, even as the story of one person ends doesn't mean ME4+ won't happen, it may have a subtitle or not, but I am pretty sure it stays numerical
for me the real reason to rename a game or use a subtitle would be changing the game world, the gameplay (as in case of Fallout 3 from previous games), or clearly the genre, Bioware used too much cash on making the name Mass Effect well known to just ignore it and forfeit tzhe use of Mass Effect 4

Yeah, but calling in storm troopers with riot shields and 15 feet tall mechs with rocket launchers is a little overkill.

You assume TIM actually thinks Shep has a realistic shot of achieving anything and cares whether or not Shep lives. It all depends on what TIM's specific goals are. Besides, it's not like TIM is exactly unwilling to take losses.

The Illusive Man has (at the time EDI was unshackled) 150 agents and at any given time he has 12 cells he works with for specific missions (he likes to have control over many aspects and any more cells mess him up). The Illusive Man gets funding from organizations he's created as well as private investors to the sum billions of credits. Shepard is in a cell named the Lazarus cell, Miranda is the head of that cell.

Mass Effect was envisioned as a trilogy. I didn't change it in my post but I meant to say that they shouldn't add a number to seperate it from the 3 main Mass Effect games. The main Mass Effect series is supposed to end at three otherwise the "envisioned as a trilogy" nonsense is a lie.sH0tgUn jUliA wrote...
Who said this is just a trilogy? It may not be ME 4, but it may be ME: something. I think the series is too successful to call it quits after three installments.
