I'm just wondering how many people get about 95% of thier lithos damaged in the mail? I've only recived 2 (of the 18x24 size) out of around a dozen in perfect condition.
Also I'm starting to wish I had to sign for it so I can open them then refuse to sign and reject the mail for arriving damaged. (You CAN do that right???)
Damage by UPS and/or USPS

I believe a policy like that exists but I'm not sure how that would work. If they did take it back then you would be relying a 100% on them to return it to the store if thats how it works. If for some reason it was never sent back or whatever then it would be your loss. You couldn't file for a replacement with no proof of damage.
Its safer just to accept it and file for a replacement yourself.

Agreed its safer to just work with Treehouse on getting replacements. As long as you follow their process, its pretty painless to get replacements.

Yea your probably right about that policy. It is painless to work with treehouse but it pains me to consider asking them for a second replacement. Yes... the replacement was also damaged. It went from a big crease in the middle to the corner being folded. I'd like to know what these guys do when they stack stuff in the truck.

Was the tube bashed with the replacement? The corner of my litho was folded, but the tube was in perfect condition and it really looks like the person who wrapped the litho in the paper folded the litho when they were folding the paper into the centre...

It was flat shipped since it was 18x24 and the box was bent in the corner. The first one looked like they set it on 2 blocks and preformed a martial arts move to fold it in half.
I lived with a lot of my litho's Damage when the frame could cover the crinkle in the corner. I had one torn corner in the old boxes replaced. Then now 2 of 3 in the new boxes have been bent farther in where the frame and even matting would not cover it..

I bought pragia a while back and it was damaged in almost all the corners becuase the box it was shipped flat in was the same exact size of the lithograph and all the corners were damaged. Also, it wasent even cased in plasic like they usually are. it was just bare. My archangel was shipped in a box that was much bigger than the actual lithograph. it was also wrapped in plastic and taped onto the cardboard backing. this one came in perfect condition. i hope they keep shipping them in the boxes that are bigger than the actual lithograph because it seemed to work well.

I've had some problems with damage too and was looking forward to the new box people have mentioned as it seems to remove the damaged corners. So I was a bit surprised when I went to pick up my Archangel yesterday and they handed me this package:

Got a bit scarred that the postal office had bent the real package this way, but then I realised that it had cardboard on the sides. It seems to have worked perfectly, all corners are as straight as they can be, haven't really inspected the other parts yet as I'm still flatening it out.

With packaging like that, does the lithograph itself have any creases or folds? You mention having to flatten it out, I hope that doesn't indicate they purposedly bent it to fix that triangular box.

I'd have thought they rolled it. I've received a Lithograph this way before and it arrived perfectly, much better than the traditional round tubes...as they're far more accommodating for knocks and bangs.
