Why do you believe I'm misguided for having my favor lie slightly with the asari?

It indicates a lack of any desire for procreation and self-preservation. These are essential traits which allowed humanity to survive. Organisms which don't have them die out.

Wait, he doesn't want to continue the legacy of humanity just because he treats the asari as equals?

I don't think that's how it works.

FYI, it's "she."

No, it won't. This is a stated fact in the ME universe. You impart nothing to the asari. Nothing.

Go read the codex if you don't believe me, or better yet, talk to the bartender (the Matriarch one).

Huh. Just realized something about myself.

I'm normally a full Paragon player, but here I am endorsing the idea of Human superiority.

Guess I'm a little Renegade after all.

Don't let the anti-humans fool you. Us paragons can be just as pro-human as a Renegade. Of the rational ones, there are relatively small differences in opinion that result in drastically different in-game action due to how the game was designed.

No, it isn't. You don't have to accept an argument as plausible/reasonable if it is not plausible/reasonable.

Shh...don't tell H_T that.
It might cause an aunerism when he/she tries to figure it out...:P

Meh... I frequent many forums and my reputation is prefectly fine.

And if on some forum my reputation were to drop. So what?
Reputation is basicly "what other people tell others about you". If there's quite a few "other people" that are stupid or just don't like you, bad rep may spread, deserved or not.
I'm only concerned about what people I respect say about me. The oppinions of everyone else are irrelevant.

Not to mention that I mostly come here to see if there's any news, and sometimes if I'm bored. So I'm not worried..at all.

'cause if they don't they're all going to die. Either by the Reaper's hand, or by mine.

I never undersand why people define themselves as "paragon" or "renegade". It's very...limited and shoe-horned...artificial you might say.

I don't really set out to be Renegade, but the fact is I wind up making almost exclusively Renegade choices and picking Renegade dialogue, and I agree with the overall Renegade philosophy... so I suppose that is what I am.

It's just a means of quickly communicating the majority of choices that they've made in game. I, for instance, don't really hold myself to being a paragon, even though my personal canon falls into that category.

I think that its funny that a lot of people on the boards not familiar with me guess that I'm a Renegade because I present logical arguments, though. I think it says a lot about them.

Kill? Nah. Well, the asari maybe. I see no reason to engage in active extermination of the others. That would just be too time consuming and cause too many problems on many fronts.

I just want humans to have as much power as possible to keep them as free as possible from alien influence.

I think if I had a style, I'd be "Illusive man." Like when he says "diplomacy is great... when it works." Which is how I play my Shepards. Paragon... until **** needs killing. In which case, on with the killing. Balak? He needed killing. Fist? Needed killing. Eclipse merc on Ilium? Needed killing. Krogas? Don't need killing, but do need the genophage. For altruistic reasons, so that their species can finally grow out of the dark ages.

I'm also a greatest good kind of guy, and some of the renegade choices are clearly greatest good.

The only forum in which I ever cared about my reputation was one in which posters could rate every post other posters made. If your rating got too low your posts would fail to show up for most people.

In my experience though people tend to rate down (or rate up) based on how much they like an opinion without any regard to how it is presented.

It this tendency that utlimately convinced me to dispense with trying to be polite and civil most of the time since it doesn't really matter.

Thankfully BSN has no such feature else I suspect most naysayers would have been muzzled long ago.

Reapers aren't an alien influence, then?

They are. I'd prefer it if we destroyed the Reapers utterly and then repurposed their technology to suit our own needs.

However I just don't think that's a realistic outcome. So I'm left with a choice: total extinction or the repurposing of the human species into a new entity. I'll go with the new entity since it is at least something of humanity that will live on. Better that than broken plastic shards thinly strewn across a fossil bed.

Hah! According to your own assessment, Saphra, Shepard isn't even capable of human procreation. So this is the only thing close I have left.

I'd actually agree that Reaper > Extinction. However, I apparently view our chances against the Reapers as greater than you do. If it comes to the point where our extinction is garaunteed, I would surrender to the Reapers. Available data, however, does not reflect a near 100% (IE: 99.9%) chance of loosing to the Reapers.

Even if we have a 5% chance of victory, the risk-benefit analysis of fighting the Reapers favors fighting. I consider continuing as a species 1000 times better of a scenario than becoming a Reaper.
