As much as I dislike batarians, I helped the guy, he was very civil when you talk to him again.

But if he wasn't sick I would have shot him directly in that thing he calls a face.

Wait we were talking about Mordin meeting mission? or the Mordin loyalty mission with Maelon and the possible Genophage cure?

There's no batarian in Mordin's loyalty mission. Though, there's no sick batarian in Garrus' mission either Typhoon ;)

Would you like to talk about the Genophage?

Well I think it was a necesarry evil...the Krogan were unstoppable and could have overrun the galaxy. Not only that, they were using WMD's against garden worlds and the like, showing that they were totally out of control.

Though I think the Turians could have at least given the Krogan a warning like the U.S did Japan before dropping the atomic bombs. Although just like the Japanese, I doubt they would have heeded the warning.

New morality topic!

Saving the sick batarian in Garrus' recruitment mission.

One way of predicting how an epidemic will affect a population is the SIRS model. In that model, rate of new infections in a population is given by the term ßSI, which represents the infection rate times the number of individuals suspectible to the disease times the number of people infected. Because you let that one batarian live, the number of infected is now one higher than it would have been without your intervention, meaning that more healthy people will be infected.  Once again, Paragon Shepard ignores the greater good just so he can feel all warm and fuzzy about himself!

Seriously though, I heal him.

I give him the medi-gel. He hasn't done anything to me and turns out to be grateful afterward. It's an olive branch thing.

However, I fully expect to be kicked in the shins should I ever chance to meet him again on Omega. After ramming an asteroid into the relay I doubt human considerations of the past will mean anything.

Sick Batarian wasn't threatening to torture and kill a human trying to cure the plague.

Fail on your part there bub.

This is what I think: We know that a Reaper was being created at the Collector Base.

Image IPB

It comes down to this for me... If we know how Reapers are created.Than we can better understand how to destroy them...

Choosing to destroy the Collector Base, prevents this knowledge from being gained...

Destroying the base also prevent Reaper indoctrination, which will happen - it's inevitable.

Arguably though, since the Human-Reaper was in such an early stage of development, studying it wouldn't really help us learn how to defeat them. After all once it is put in its shell, that is when it becomes a threat, because then it has it's shields and weapons.

I still keep the base though :)

Indoctrination and Cerberus go hand-in-hand, it's something that just happens.

Save sick Batarian. Sometimes let the guys holding Daniel hostage go, depending upon whether I'm having a good or bad hair day. Call it taking a page out of Mordin's book -- he's as likely to kill you as he is to heal you.

Are we really comming back to the CB again? You know my answer on this... 4th of July... KABOOM!

I mean come on we have been playing as Shepard for how long?....

So whats the pattern?

Hang around a Reaper or Reaper tech and turn into a technological zombie...

or

Hang around a Reaper or study Reaper artifacts and become a mad cultist... cough cough Arrival DLC... cough cough

call me crazy but I dont add to the problem...

Whatever... I said my peace about this like 20 pages ago...

Sick Batarian.... yes I save him on my main playthrough... I dont like Batarian culture... not individual Batarians them selves... slavery kinda turns me off from them.... if they dont promise they will drop the slave business in ME3 I think I might have to let them get eaten... which raises a bigger problem...

If in ME3 Shep will be able to chose which races survive or get wiped out.... wouldnt that throw the entire Galaxy out of balance? It seems liek the slightest thing might throw things out of whack. If the Citadel gets destroyed does that mean Aria will try to make Omega the new galactic capitol? If Omega goes down does that mean Council space will expand but get overrun with crime? Let the Volus die and the entire economic system fails?

Dou you think this will be the case?

If the Citadel was destroyed, it's not like Omega would become the new hub of the galaxy; Aria doesn't possess nearly enough power to assume control of the galactic hub. More than likely they would try and rebuild the Citadel, or something like it. Then again, it's unlikely that the Citadel would be destroyed, because the Reapers wouldn't want to do any harm to it as it's instrumental to their plans.

Although, maybe organics could blow it up if the Reapers try to take it...I mean, if a normal Mass Relay causes a supernova, I'm sure the citadel, which is much bigger, could cause an even greater explosion.

If Omega goes down I don't think the Council will try and take over the Terminus systems. There are still far too many merc bands and terrorist organizations and Batarians to make taking it over practical, especially after being considerably weakened by the Reapers.

All good points but you never know how nuts the Devs will become about this... I do believe there is a balance that needs to be preserved to a degree... then again... Conspiracy theories are a lot more fun... Evidence:
