Then why isn't anyone using them? Cerberus isn't the only one to get indoctrinated.

What? You're theory is that everyone in the universe is stupid? That scientists are stupid cattle that don't know their job? That Sheppard is also a massive moron, as he didn't send a drone in either??

Actually. Yes. Many people in Mass effect are outright idiots.

Cerberus takes the cake, though.

Including your Sheppard. The biggest idiot of them all apparenlty.

Gee, can't be any dumber than the Shepards who hand over the base to a manipulative psychopath with a god complex for the potential of possibilities.

Oh, they can. A self-absord, egoistical scumbag Sheppard that gambles with the survival of the galaxy to statisfy his petty trust issues and dellusions.

I trust them as much as I would any evil extermist group... and you need to tone it down a bit...

You should see him in the Dragon Age Boards. He actually tends to be a bit WORSE there if anything.

I can't be worse than you, so it's a moot point.

And b.t.w - Cerberus isn't evil.

Wow, it took you that long to finally realize that Shepard is one of the biggest idiots on the face of the galaxy, regardless of choice? Congratualtions.

It's nothing new. I knew that the second Shepard told Wrex that the First Contact War and the genophage were pretty much the same thing. Or when Shepard said that machines can be broken to Sovereign. Or when Shepard must have everything explained in high detail to him/her.

Shepard serves as the moronic protagonist, who's there to give the player explanations on almost everything.

Which apparently is a must, judging by the nature of most players.

Sooo..your point is the a Mass Effect univsrse is the universe of idiots?
Everyone is a moron...
OK..why do you even try to save them then?

Actually, I'd say you're worse than I ever could be. I actually tend to listen to opposing opinions and admit when I'm wrong. You on the other hand refuse to accept any idea that goes against you. Not to mention you've been outright insulting others who don't agree with you and your ideas. I.E. Anulling the circle is good and so is Cerberus.

Really, I wouldn't even say anything if you didn't KEEP DOING THAT.

And I'll be willing to cope that Cerberus MAY not be evil. They're just stupid. What were they hoping to discover by injecting a person with Threasher Maw acid, an acid that eats through millitary grade shields and metal? It's still more than YOU are willing to cope to.

I'd like to say I'm shocked I have to explain this to you. Saving people, even the one's who should've died from stupidity LONG ago is what a hero freaking DOES Lotion.

In a more selfish viewpoint, if everyone else dies, so will you because you can't get all the nice things like medicine and food, or off world travel.

And I wouldn't be saying anything if you (and people like you) didn't keep talking smack.

You can go on and list how wonderfull you are...but guess what? So am I.
I *DO* listen to what others have to say and I *DO* acknowledge when I'm wrong - altough due to the nature of people I'm debating, that doens't happen very often.

And no, I never said Cerberus is good. I said they arne't evil. If you're incapable of looking outside that binary mentality, that's no my fault.
I have said multiple time that I'm neither a fan of TIM or Cerberus - I woudlnt' tolerate them as they are if it weren't for the reapers. They change the whole equation.

Cerberus becomes compleely irrelevant. Defeating the reapers is the ONLY thing that really matters. They are the enemy. Cerberus is an insignificant smear on the wall.
Yet, there seems to be no shortage of poepl who think showing Tim the bird is the most important thing in the universe.

True. TIM could just have gotten thermal scans. They're still skematics on it's entire structure, giving away vents, weak points, layouts, etc. And EDI did datamine the Collector Ship. And it seems Shepard optain some kind of data at the end. TIM might have gotten the same as well. So it's possible TIM has enough to go on to build his own base. Plus the "key pieces of technology from the remains" to give him something to build on.

After all, I'd rather that then what we're being told now. If I was told most of his tech came from parts taken from the dead Reaper, and data from the Collector Ship, I would be less pissed. I could actually believe that. Instead, we're told he got key technology "from the remains". And I'm like "You got useful and working tech and workable data from that?"

Given that they didn't specify, how can you possibly know this?  And no, her using thermal emissions to detect the massive seeker swarm doesn't mean the SR-2 was only capable of TE scanning.

EDI scanned the Collector base she didn't datamine it

The cinematic at the end and Walters' tweet seem to disagree with that assertion.

Actually EDI did scan the Collector base, she says so at the beginning of the SM when Shepard and his Team are planning the attack on the Comm Room, I think.

But yeah, it's also possible while planting the bomb Shepard got Data or something, they really don't say anything. What we know is at the end Shepard has information about the reapers, and that's what matters.

I destroyed the base on my canon play-through simply because while keeping it does allow for some positive possibilities, I felt as though the negatives outweighed it. Giving a reaper building base to an organization that I did not trust really didn't sit well with me. Also, I figured keeping the base would result in another piece on the galactic "chessboard" we would have to defend, and if lost, the reapers would be able to create their own reinforcements, which isn't very good.

No, I'm asking how one can possibly know that she ONLY did thermal emissions scanning.  Why would the SR-2 be limited to just that spectrum?  Why would it necessarily be limited to only EM in general?  Seems pretty likely one could use ME fields to do some interesting tricks for detection and probing.  I mean we know dark energy is detectable (and apparently with omnitools at that.  Ask Veetor).

Anyways, TIM building his own base is more of just a theory. All I know is that he has scans of the original base, salvage pieces key technology (somehow), and is now setting up research station beyond the Omega 4 Relay.

Veild insults aren't in short supply out here. Sometimes one responds in kind.

And not as good as I think? My good man, there's only 3-4 people in this discussion who defend the "keep the base" choice, and despite being heavily outnumbered by the base destroyers, we have so far pounded them mercilesly in this discussion.

So, yes, I'm quite happy so far. Thanks for asking.

Um, no. You haven't pounded them. At all. All you've done is insult people and cover your ears or backtrack on certain statements, and assume that TIM has the best in mind for humanity and not just Cerberus' agenda. Thats not winning. Thats being a FOX news pundit.

Edit:
In addition, those people remaining that support keeping the base? The only rational one is Trout. One of them is determined that having absolute failure in a game should be manditory, and the other is convinced that the reason TIM brought back Shepard is due to being in love with him/her. Not exactly the best of company to be in. I feel sorry for Trout. He deserves better backup.

It must be nice, living in your own world, because I have yet to see a single legit reason to save the base that doesn't clash with Cerberus' agenda.
