Otherwise it just sounds like Daffy Duck and Bugs Bunny going "Yes", "No", "Yes", "No" back and forth.  It's about as much fun to participate in as it is to read, and serves no purpose other then to make the offenders look like three-year olds on the playground.

I disagree.

It is much more entertaining to watch than to participate.

In your situation above, if and ONLY IF there was some sort of undeniable assurance that she wouldn't turn around the day after victory and try to force me into subjugation/eliminate me with the same weapon.  What would be the point of helping her save her house if she would just turn around and destroy mine anyway?

As for the friend thing, no contest.  My friends help IS the resource, and I would trust her/him to in turn help me defend my home as payment.

Hence why, while helping her, you'd also try to undermine her and steal her tech. It's much easier to do that if you are allied, instead of just leaving her to die. Pardon the cliche but it's a case of "keeping your enemies closer".
Of course hence why, were I Cerberus / alliance, I would not share everything I have at my disposal.
Welcome to the messy world of politics.

But what if your friend can't help? What if he is mortally wounded and has nothing to offer? Wouldn't that be wasting ressources on him and risking both your lives, instead of just his?

LOL, can't get more "morally grey" then stealing from supposed allies, can we?

Oh, but entertaining it is. It has actually become quite humorous to watch Saphra evade answering.

What have I evaded answering?

[/quote]HAHAHAHAHA.

I'm
not answering that question this time because I've answered it so many
times in the past and you should already know my position on it.

Then
you have 2 options. Quote to me, or point out in the thread, where you
have clarified where you stand on eezo causing extinction, or you must
concede the point.

How about you kiss my ass instead?

I'm
not digging through this thread just to satisfy you. I don't need to
anyway. My stance is perfectly clear in my original post. Go and read
it. (again)

There are many more ways to actively undermine allies too (what the USA did to Britain in WW2), so yea :D

In ME3 they seem to be openly warring against the Alliance.

Where?

It looks that way. The Alliance is fighting the Reapers, and Cerberus is allied with the Reapers (at least Cerberus troops have been seen supporting a Reaper). I take that to mean they're allied against the Alliance.

BW have also stated Cerberus troops make up 40% of the enemies you'll face, with husks making up another large chunk. With them as the main organic enemy I'm will to venture they're against  the Alliance.

And I'm willing to venture to suggest that the army they've mustered overnight is mainly composed of the Alliance reservists, indoctrinated - in the actual sense of the word - by the Terra Firma party activists.

I so want this to be apart of ME3 now!  Although it kind of supports my theory on why the council should not trust a Cerberus-Aligned humanity....

I'll assume that you mean this:

Well, good luck with that.

You are refusing to clearly state your position in order to avoid being confronted on it. This is called 'evasion'.

No one should trust anyone in politics, period. Ideological inclination matters little imo.

What matters is having enough leverage to make it beneficial for them to help you, or even impose it on them if you are strong enough.

That's exactly what I mean. Former Alliance servicemen, mobilized by the Terra Firma (a political party in the Alliance) = TIM's army built in secret.

Why would Terra Firma supporters fight to make humanity the chief toadies of the Reapers? Terra Firma stands for humanity standing firm against alien influence, not becoming servants to them.

Sorry, I was laughing because earlier I decided to stop responding to another poster because it was turning into a "Bugs Bunny"-esque type fight.
Now said poster is doing it again with another person...
I had to point out the irony of it all....

EDIT: See top of page for reference

@sisterofshane,

See how much fun it is when you're not actually participating?
