Oh! And Aria + Garrus.
I was tempted to add Conrad + Kelly!

Jack is the only one I really can't think of one for...

Garrus' black-and-white morality does not really mesh well with a relationship with the leader of Omega, Mass Effect's wretched hive of scum and villainy. I want Aria/Wrex personally, but if she does turn out to be Aleena they'd probably just end up killing each other. :(

Also, I will say this... If anyone can survive a kromance, it's Jack.

Even money says that will happen no matter what.

(If I might be forgiven for the repost) The thing about Wrex and Aria is they’re both more or less at the top of their careers, at opposite ends of the galaxy.

To be together, in any sort of long term relationship, one or the other would have to give up either the rule of the Krogan Clans or Omega, at least on a semi-permanent basis. And Wrex CANNOT abandon Tuchanka, the krogan need him for their very survival as a people, whether they realize it or not.

That leaves Aria to make the move, and I just can’t see Aria playing second fiddle to anyone. She’s just not the housewife type, even in a place where the daily chores include kicking someone’s teeth-analogues in. She has to be in her own house.

This is partly why I think she and Garrus would be such a good match. Garrus has no problem living in FemShep’s “house” and playing by her rules, more or less. Not that Garrus is some sort of doormat, good heavens no! Just that he seems to prefer, independent, commanding women.

Now I never got the impression that Aria was that bad, at least no worse than anyone else in Mass Effect who's in a position of power. Does she do anything really evil? Like, kill people who don't have it comin' or slave trading?

Well… yes. But what about the poor krogan?

Jacob and Kasumi would make a good pair, I think.

Jack and Kaidan would make a good pair, but I don't know how well Kaidan could deal with her baggage. She's a handful, and only exceptionally strong-willed individuals like Shep could put up with it.

If Aria is Aleena, why would she and Wrex continue their duel? The volus who paid for the hit on Aleena is dead, and they were friends before that. Why wouldn't they go back to being friends?

What she does is just as bad, she lets it all slide as long as it benefits her. Garrus would never support that. I could see him having begrudging respect for Aria, but I could never see him trusting her, and trust was the cornerstone of his relationship with Shepard.

Perhaps you are right. I got the impression that Garrus is very… turian. What I mean is, he doesn't seem to really trust anyone he hasn't worked with. But once someone is "on the team" he is very quick to lend his confidence. Perhaps a little too quick, hence Sidonis.

Poor Garrus, the dearth of turian ladies does sort of limit the options for him in an exercise like this. I can really picture him a woman like Gianna Parasini.

Jacob will be hard pressed to get w/ Kasumi if it turns out that she is an LI in ME3, that is assuming that she's even in ME3 for more than just a few minutes.

I could definitely see Kasumi and Jacob hooking up... and Mara teasing Jacob mercilessly about always picking the girl with the badonkadonk (Miranda now Kasumi).

I would rather see those two hook up than Shep romancing Kasumi. Shep shouldn't always be able to get the girl.

That, and the Miranda-Jacob thing seemed like it was over.

If they do hookup I think it should be more of a casual thing though, much like Fenris and Isabela in DA2.

I think it'd be cute, especially if Kasumi could get Jacob to lighten up a bit. He's surprisingly grumpy, considering he's pretty much the only sane person on the team.

Jacob is grumpy.

I think that was the biggest reason why he's the most unpopular squadmate from ME2. He was a bit standoffish with Shep at times. All squadmates have a "I'm out of dialogue for the moment" line, but Jacob's indicated that he was annoyed with Shepard. "Again? I'm not real big on forcing these talks Shepard."

Shep: "Well Fxxx you too, buddy!"

Even Garrus' "I'm in the middle of some calibrations" line was better. At least he had an excuse for brushing you off. Image IPB

Only problem is manShep seems to attract a certain type to him....Cynical or Ruthless or a combination of both...:(...(with the exception of Tali, but my Shep's in no mood to endanger her)...a human with a much more upbeat personality would be wonderful.

actualy - his final line for out of dialogue if you don't push him to get to personal is also the only final line that sounds like aknowledgment of actual friendship, not the other quadmate's  "go away, I'm busy now."

don't mind the Shepard, it was one of the earlier faces, before I got better at character creator

This is spot on in every way...I don't dislike Jacob, just complacent about him, his attitude is a real downer so I don't tend to use him at all...just run the dialogs because I'm a completionist.

Jack + Grunt.. They are basically same characters. Both created or raised to be killing machines, both wanting to shoot everything that moves, both violent, both lack any sort of coherence.. They'd make a great couple.

That's the trouble, his attitude is rather off-putting. The first people you're teamed up with in ME2 are Jacob and Miranda, both of which are unfriendly towards Shepard. And distinctly lacking a sense of humour. It was odd, doing the conversational rounds on the ship, sometimes Jack seemed more sociable than Jacob did.

That, combined with the cringe-worthy dialogue for femShep, meant that I barely talked to Jacob enough to establish a friendship.
