Perhaps the biggest thing missing in ME2 was actual party banter. There were some cases where some Party members would respond to one another but they were few and far. Perhaps one the biggest strengths of DA2's characters (yes strengths Image IPB) was that it played up on the friendship, rivalries, or in some cases even relationships, between the characters. The same needs to happen in ME3 because it can add some extra depth to the Squad.

I LIEK THIS.

I missed it in ME2 :( There were a few scattered pieces in it, but way less then I wanted.

Didn't we get confirmation of party banter already? Or am I just remembering wrong? Either way, I support this. The ME2 squad felt too isolated, I want to hear them interact with each other.

It better be as good as the LotSB banter.  That was pure gold.

Agree 100%. Although I haven't played DA2 personally I have watched a playthrough of it and the conversations among the party were entertaining.

LotSB was nice between Liara and Shepard but seriously if you brought Tali or Garrus along, especially if you cheated with one of them... there should have been more.

During the chase...

Tali: We're letting him drive?
Shepard: What kind of guns does this thing have?
Liara: It's a taxi, it has a fair meter.
Shepard: Wonderful...
Liara: Truck!
Shepard: I know...
Tali: Keelah!
Liara: Uhh!!!
*Truck overturns and explodes*
Shepard: There we go...
Tali: You bosh'tet!
Liara: You're enjoying this...
Tali: Just like old times...
Liara: Truck!
Shepard: Again!
Tali: Watch out!

Sometimes ME2 would blurt out random party banter, like waiting fo the elevator on Thanes recruitment mission, or through the krogan hospital on Mordins loyalty mission, though I would appreciate full, three-way party banter that involves everyone, possibly even passers-by who can't help but eavesdrop on the conversation.

Shepard - Garrus - Tali... should comment on every single conversation and make snide remarks to each other. Three games together they better talk quite a bit.

I support this motion. It'd be great just to here the party chat a bit in the calm areas of missions.

I think a lot of that had to do with the fact it was a DLC and they didn't get all the VA to do lines.  But that type of banter is needed in ME3 with everyone.  The chase was golden and so was the fight outside on the door of the SB base.

Liara:Looks like this last wave is going to be a big one.
Shepard:You just had to give the mercs ideas.
Liara:But now there will be less inside.
Shepard:Dream on, T'Soni.

I agree with every word here.

The lack of party banter and interaction absolutely crippled ME2 as a game "about the characters"

Supposedly, this is something being worked on for ME3.  Here's hoping...

I know some will disagree, but I loved the elevator scenes in ME1.

Agreed, that was my favorite part of LoTSB. I was watching some of the DA2: Legacy vids on youtube, and the interaction between the party was hilarious.

Isabela always makes me laugh.  I need to have her and Aveline in my next time playing it.  I missed an achievement.

I do want that type of banter.  The more the better.  Take LotSB banter out and the best banter was Garrus and Tali when on the Citadel.  I lol'ed at Tali's comment.  "I have a shotgun"

I want to hear Grunt and Garrus banter. I'd like to hear what Garrus thinks of Grunt's 'I don't hate you, I hate turians!' philosophy. ;)

I also want to hear Jack and anyone, really. Especially the nicer squaddies who might try to be friendly with her.

I'm hoping though it's more like Dragon Age's, where squaddies start conversing while you walk around.
