I'm not sentimental enough to pick a team based on personal history with Shepard or anything, so I'll take the two that are best suited to the task at hand. I imagine Liara will get left behind, as Bioware can't be stupid enough to repeat their mistake with the laser frog fight of ME1 (biotics = lolwin).
At the end of ME2, knowing I would be facing Collectors I would often bring squadmates that worked well against Collectors. Bonus points for double Warp.

Tali and Garrus, mostly because I had them as my frontline squad during ME and ME2. It'll just be awesome to finish with them in ME3.

From a pure combat perspective, I'd be torn between Zaeed, Grunt and Garrus.
From playing all three games, I'd be torn between Garrus, Tali and Liara.

Wrex and Garrus because in ME 1 Garrus was blind to the real world and Wrex wasnt afraid to tell him that....so contrast ME3 Garrus with the Garrus Wrex knew.

Depends on my Shepard. Most likely Ashley and Jacob or Wrex and Miranda. Tali and Thane were a good combo also. I'd even go with Samara if she had any kind of offensive skills. Throw and Pull are useless abilities if they're the only ones you have.
