Liara has to be in the team, but depending on who the squaddies are in ME3, probably Garrus or Wrex.

Garrus and Wrex.

Seriously if my Shepard is Captain Kirk, Garrus is Spock, and Wrex is Dr. McCoy. It works so perfectly heck. You see there's always this animosity between Garrus and Wrex because of their species past, yet despite this they still work together and ultimately because of Shepard become buddies. I can just see Wrex telling Shepard "Damnit Shepard I'm a Krogan not a Scientist!"

I brought Garrus and Wrex with me to take down Fist, then we encountered Sovereign on Virmire. Finally we went to Ilos found out what happened to the Protheans and then kicked Saren's behind. (Seeing Wrex put a bullet in Saren's head despite being dead seems the most fitting to me as Wrex has a lot to be pissed off with Saren.)

I cannot describe in words how awesome it would be to end ME3 with Garrus and Wrex. I mean honestly that'd be such a perfect ending for my main Shepard Bioware would have to then actually try and make the ending suck.
