Well since ME2 was my first Mass Effect game, i would have to say Miranda and Jacob.....they were with me from the start, and they will be with me at the end.

Exaclty what my plan is for the finaly of ME3 :happy:

My cannon Shepard trusts and works better as a team Tali and Garrus then any of the other squad mates, as they have been there for him not matter what and supported him on every though decision he has ever made. They were Shapard as he made the call to save Ashely at the cost of Kaidan's life on Vimire. They were the two who were with him on Ilos and when he took down Saren. 

They were the ones who showed their  willingness to stand by Shepard no mater what when they joined Shepard when he had been dead for two years even though doing so would mean working with Cerberus and the mission would could likely end in their deaths. They agreed to follow Shepard without hesitation, while Ashley refused and called Shepard a traitor and Liara was too absorbed with revenge.

In return Shepard has done everythign in his power to help them when its needed. Shepard was there for Garrus when he set out to kill Sidonus, helping him in the end make the right choice and spare him. Shepard stood by Tali when no one else would during her trail. Shepard was able to see past Tali's mask and want to be with her no matter how difficult it may be to make their relation ship work.

Without Garrus and Tali, Shepard would have never made it through the suicide mission. Garrus was the one he trusted to lead the second team, Tali was the one who risked her life to be the tech expert and open the gates in the collector base. They were the ones who were there when Shepard defeated the Human-Reaper and made the call to destroy the base. They have been there, following Shepard through hell and back; and by darnit they will be there watching his back when Shepard defeats the Reapers.

Miranda and Garrus would be my top choice. Zaeed and Kasumi fill in close seconds to replace either. I love Wrex but doubt he is a squadmate. I'll wait and see Ash/Kaidan's power layout and dialogue in ME3 before making a choice. They have a lot of owning up to do for their idiocy on Horizon.
