sometimes u get some nice weapon, but in general u just find standard gear and healing pots/kits(witch come in handy always) so i leave it up to u, atrough u do find some quest items (like those love letters) in them, but usally its not that inportant.

I have found that the open chests skill for rogues is very useful - stealing is ok, but I didn't want to put more points into it than one. IMO, choose one or the other.
