That solves nothing. The quarians are revealed, so the mystery dies, those that didn't want to see quarians are dissapointed. And, Tali's face remains hidden, so those that wanted to see her unmaksed are dissapointed. It's a lose-lose situation.

but now they actually have a factual look to draw upon, and the fanart/ideas continue...until the next episode 

seriously though, just playing DA there...I want to see her face, now

If they dont intend to make it look worthy of its hype, then leave it.
If they take a look at the amazing fan art (*braces for hentai joke*) take a page out of those artists books and make a face that will enhance the LI subplot, then more power to them.

There's already a thread on this topic but what the hell..

Bioware is kind of in a Catch-22 situation or a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" with this.

If I was Bioware, I would show Tali removing the mask with her back to the camera, then have her turn slowly towards the player's vantage people then quickly fade to black before anything is revealed. Because honestly, half the fun is the mystery and not everyone will be pleased with the appearance. Or maybe they could show what she looks like if she dies, with a smashed open mask.

Eh I still don't think the mystery is even needed here. Have her face revealed almost without fanfare, it's only her face. Really there should be plenty more interesting things than this to have as unresolved mysteries best left to the imagination in a series with the scope of ME; it probably wouldn't be as big a deal if Tali wasn't, y'know, Tali as well. Just let the ME art team and writers come up with something that matches their original vision for it, I find it hard to believe none of them have thought about it or knocked up concepts.

If they don't show the face, we will never see it, and we'll live with the question in our heads for eternity. If they show it, and it sucks, well, that means we at least know how they look under the helmet!

Actually, I really hope she doesn't look too good, or at least not too "generic good". The female Qunari concept for Dragon Age 2 for example (although it hasn't been used) disappointed me because they make the males almost monsterish and the female is just some generic cute chick with horns. Not that I don't think Tali should be pretty but at least not generic pretty, especially considering the whole deal with Quarians and immunity, she should at least look a little sickly.

Which makes me realise Qunari and Quarian are almost anagrams. *runs to a blackboard and starts throwing crazy speculations all around*

I really don't care either way at this point, by this point fans of the series (and especially Tali fans) should appreciate her for her personality anyway so whether she comes out looking attractive or incredibly alien shouldn't matter. It should just be how the folks at BioWare want it to be, in line with their original vision for the Quarian race. There is no reason that has to be one extreme or the other, and in fact I kinda hope the whole thing is a big anticlimax in some ways, with her neither being super model elven good looking, nor monstrous Predtali face.
