I avoid the behind the scenes stuff, never watch the DVD extras either, it's entertainment and fantasy and that's how that kiss is going to stay!

Rivalmance is the only way to go for Merril, imo. It's tough love, rather than being mean for the sake of being an ass, and she has an awesome fire in her you don't get to see in the friendmance that makes her a lot less "innocent" or whatever you want to call the quality she has that apparently makes some people all "derher I can't romance her iew."

If I could only have one romance for my Hawke though, it would be Anders, because it's so much more involved with the plot and so much more a gutpunch at the end. He was my first playthrough's romance and I am so glad it was, because I was crushed at the end. And it was awesome.


I gotta give Isabela some love, though. She's so sane compared to all the others, no HEAVY baggage, just normal person baggage. She and one of my rogue ManHawkes were the most adorable couple ever.

Noone ... Both of them are only rebels and killers, i dont want any of them in group but i am afraid its not possibile because they are only mages in game besides brethren.

Merrill makes racial slurs against humans. She does deals with demons which is instant no no. Lies to Anders face about how her people treat "fade spirits/demonds" like individuals. Such bull**** all the Dalish now that dealing with demons is a deathwish for your sanity. To me I found that she could have been taking pratical steps to really help her people instead of staying inside all day working on a broken evil mirror. I read a short story about her where the demon shows here images of the old Elvan Empire when really hes probabley just messing with her like all demons do. But of course shes too damn stubborn to listen to anyone. I can "handle it" jesus how many mages have probabley gone in with that attitude before the demon over takes them and/or their sanity.

So overall no I don't think Merrill is all that like able. Anders can be a jerk too but I find his upbringing plus circumstances to be understandable for his sometimes major un-stableness

I add my voice to Merrills, at let it be said that while i started out hating Anders i find myself liking him more and more. Though i never liked his romance at all.

I've never romanced Merrill although I did try once with a female Hawke ... unfortunately, I had an urge to create yet another M!Hawke to romance either Fenris or Anders, so I had to erase her

I don't think that any romance in da (any of the games) ever was realistic. I liked Merrill romance, it was sweet, but Anders is still my favorite.

I loved Merrills romance as well. You actually feel like you're changing that character as opposed to just about everyone else who stays the same through the whole playthrough, with the exception of Cullen, Carver, and Bethany. The scene where she's about to turn away from Hawke before she goes in for the kiss is righteous.

 I love the Anders romance the best out of all the LIs in DA. Sure, he kills a lot of people and he lies to Hawke and has some serious emotional problems, but that just makes his character that much more interesting in my opinion. Merill tries to reclaim something that is impossible to reclaim. Merill is boring to flirt with because she doesn't flirt back almost at all. And having a broken mirror in your house is kinda creepy.

Hmm.... One of them is a deluded blood mage dealing with demons.
The other one is a possessed abomination/terrorist mage who starts wars and kills innocent people.

None of them are good in my eyes. But Merril is less horrible than Anders so I would go with her.
I actually survived romancing her once with a m!Hawke.
The one I tried to romance Anders with had to be deleted due to being disgusted.
