Specs: HD 6770, i5 760, 8GB RAM

Parts of the wall texture turns black when the camera gets close.

The image below shows the issue quite cleary.

Any way to fix it?

how many static lights are you using in this scene/room?

6 point - animated
1 ambient baked.

Remove one or more (of both types) don't do anything. It only appears when the editor camera approaches the walls.

EDIT: As strange as the issue's origin, so is its end. Works now.

the engine can't handle more than 3 lights affecting the same geometry and such errors occur.

I doubt that was the problem. It works now, and I haven't moved any of the lights. Anyways, it works now.

Sounds like some sort of rendering bug, possibly related to video drivers. I've had occasional glitches like this turn up and fix themselves after I restart the Toolset. For future reference, despite what you see in the official BioWare levels, it's best to keep things simple with the lighting - it's very easy to overcomplicate things, and the lightmapper that comes with the Toolset doesn't cope well with large numbers of lights.

Ironically then, my room with the highest density of lights (6 toches in a 3x3 room) seems to be the one with the least lightmap artifacts. I try to keep things simple to avoid two lights fighting over one floor segment.

How can I find my level's lightmap? I need it to see if a noise removal plugin for GIMP could fix some of it.

My Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\addins\\<MODULE NAME>\\core\\override\\toolsetexport\\<LAYOUT NAME>

You may wish to peruse this, in particular the section on light map corruption and its remedies. Manual cleaning should be the final step after the level is finished. Do a full removal by deletion (as described in the above link) and then re-post your lightmaps. Then run them through a de-noise plugin.

I can't find any .dds files in the folder of the posted level layout. Is it in an arhive file or something among those lines?

It will be in an ERF, as described in that link.

It is back again. Sorry for late responce, but it have been away from my desctop for the last week. Lighting is not the issue at all. as It happens on fullbright without any lights at all present. It has returned. It goes away when the camera is about a floor piece's length away from it and is visible when the camera approaches the wall.
