Some deeply storytelling, one protagonist ,no companions and no teammates .The third person visual  is nearly the witcher 2 of course, better with the first person visual if it has.

No thanks. If I wanted to play the Witcher, I'd play...wait for it...The Witcher.

Hmm. I like my DA storytelling and fantastic companions. I prefer to keep my DA games in the DA vein.

One protagonist.. No companions.. Do you want them to shoot themselves in the foot literally, too? Just to round things off?

No thanks. As stated by someone else. If I wanted to play The Witcher I'd play The Witcher.

I like my DA and ME games as they are.

End of Line.

It's quite possible to play solo in DA:O/2 :>

Bioware should do what Bioware is good at, not emulate what company X or Y is doing.

No thanks. Even though I've enjoyed both The Witcher 1 and 2 a lot, I feel BioWare should stick to the party-based combat and customizable protagonist.

While I enjoyed TW2 immensely, I don't think DA3 should "become another The Witcher." Let it do its own thing. If it wants to take some cues from TW by all means, but DA3 should remain DA3, whatever that may be.

I don't want Dragon Age to become a solo franchise. I like party based RPG's. That being said there's plenty of room for improvements over Dragon Age 2 when it comes to systems design, the outdated engine, cinematography and so on. I hope BioWare takes the time to make these improvements, especially in their environments. TW2's environments look like people inhabit them. DA2's environment look like movie sets, because there's no dynamic or clutter to them.

Even I dont want DA series to become The Witcher. And I hate DA2. Just return to the winning formula of DA:O. Make it better, improve some things and dont completely change it. And most importantly, dont rush it.

No. Bioware should certainly learn from it, but not copy it. I'd rather have a diverse repertoire of RPGs.

Your comment is legen... wait for it......dary.

@OP: If I wanted to play the Witcher, I'd start playing my copies of the Witcher and The Witcher 2. The only thing I want Bioware to take from The Witcher is that the stories make sense, do more showing and less telling, and some other things.

Which is actually stuff they could take from other games too!

The Witcher is the Witcher. Dragon Age is Dragon Age. Dragon Age needs companions. The Witcher doesn't.

Find the ground that you had with the new DLC and DAO and you've got the game DA III needs to be. I wouldn't mind it though if bioware were to use something like the red engine for their next game's graphics...

This is the opposite of what I want. Totally.

If by that you mean, amazing graphics, mechanics, a real dark and mature game for adults, filled with really meaningful choices, clever humor, amazingly intrinsic politics, no hands holding, punitive of stupidity, no button awesome - at least until adrenaline bar is filled =) - a game which treats gamers at least as half intelligent beings who knows how to read...

All that combined with BioWare usual party-based combat and customizable protagonists (with all different races too) is certainly a winner.

If I wanted The Witcher, I would play the Witcher. When I want DA, I play DA, and enjoy everythign they do so much better then The Witcher, starting with story, likeable characters and the option to make your own character and not just play as one.

Part of the cause of the let down for DA2 is they tried to hard to be like other games on the market - which is totally against what makes BioWare games so awesome.

Witcher is awesome - but copying it doesn't help the series, gaming or BioWare.

That said - I certainly wouldn't be opposed to the graphics in the DA universe - DA2 was not my cup of tea from an art point of view.

Nope, there are no reasons for that.
BTW I think it's rather funny that Bioware wanted DA2 to be ME in medieval aaand second Witcher did it.

I remember you saying that the Amaranthine / Vigil's Keep choice was too dark for your tastes.
I dread to think how you would react to The Witcher :D

Well... they already have one thing in common. Both games, DA2 and The Witcher 2, fail in the third act.

Well, when something like this is written about DA2...

But every once in a while a game arrives out of the blue that redefines expectations for an entire genre. A game like The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings. If you enjoy single-player role-playing games on PC, you simply must play The Witcher 2. Innovative, unflinchingly mature and richly imagined, it is driven by fascinating, finely nuanced characters navigating a fantasy world of dark political intrigue and ambiguous morals. (from the NYT)

I don't want DA to become a witcher game but it can certainly experiment on the formula and be as bold as CDPR.

In Formula One, when one team is lapping much faster and winning the championship half way through it, the other teams will try to see what's working for them and develop their own upgrades to match it. Same thing with any other sport.  It doesn't mean BW should just copy it and well, they will lack the polishing for it anyway.

Sorry, you don't know what you're talking about. Act 3 in TW2 is just epic and really gives us closure! (even if it leaves an open door for TW3, as it should anyway)

This is quite true, and I have said it before. Both games have a way to rushed final act.

I can understand saying that TW2's Act 3 was bad (something I completely and utterly disagree with), but to compare it to the disaster that is DA2's Act 3? Sounds like overkill to me.
